I prefer the home nations games of the 70's a  lot more passion involved . I was in college near Bathgate in 78 think we beat them 1-0 it kicked off big time the Police were called it was a good night by the morning everyone was best mates again.

Bellingham was ridiculous. I haven't seen a better 20 y/o midfielder in many a year. The final goal he single handedly carved out the chance and put it on a plate for Kane.

Great turnout, good atmosphere at times, only a friendly at the end of the day. Main thing is Euros.

85m plus addons. Absolute steel. He's not bad that Bellingham fella. Worth about 200m if not more already.

We let england play tbh. When we actually played our normal game we were much better.

England a few players that are a much higher level than us though. No shame in that.

Come on Brez my mate 😂 If we had a manager could have knocked 5 past you. I genuinely believe we have a side that could take us long way in a World Cup if Pep or Klopp at the realm. 😉

A supposed bid of £110m was knocked back for Caicedo but a real £85m bid for Bellingham was not made!?!?
Can't believe this was one of Jürgen's decisions but it does sound like FSG's disinformation.

The barrier to getting Bellingham was wages, not the transfer fee.

Even if we broke our wage structure to offer the wages RM offered, we still don't know if Jude would have chosen us over Real.

You guys always say that, and always fail when you play better teams.

We all have our levels.  :lmao:

Klopp & Pep aint international managers, maybe when they are in thier 70s. l o l

'Supposed' bid sums it up. No way we were paying that.

I'm biased with Bellingham. I liked him at Birmingham, could see a generational talent developing at dortmund and staggered we walked away when quoted 80 odd million after a year long charm offensive.

20m was a great deal from Birmingham. 85m plus addons was a steel from dortmund. And like I said earlier he's a 200m plus player now.

Old news now though eh. Roll on Saturday.  Let's beat wolves and hit the summit.

Thank goodness we didn't push in the boat on Bellingham. What a waste that would have been to spend all that money on one player.
