Just watched the game. Commentators creaming over bar codes chances, although we had more clear chances to score again than them.
Only reason they had a few chances was because we never got out of second gear. Ok they were down to 10 men, but even so, can’t remember the last time we coasted through a game that confortable
Not sure I agree with you there...I didn't see us "coasting" through it.

I did. I literally had zero concern that they were going to make a game of it. They had to get two goals minimum and were doing everything possible to find them while we missed a couple of chances and absorbed a lot of pressure but not once did I feel like they could somehow get a goal much less two. A lot of huffing and puffing but not much else.

A great win however you put it. I personally hate it when a player gets sent off, it ruins the game for me. No doubt it was a red, still spoiled the game though. Great to see a bit of momentum building though, good to see van Dijk and Jota back too.

Maybe the lads can now start repaying the faith Klopp has placed in them and also pay him back for taking all the slings and arrows for the last few months.

      Let's go!

It seems to me there's a slight contradiction with coasting it, and absorbing a lot of pressure. We won that's all that matters...Onwards

I don’t think we were coasting but I do think we slowed the game down

Only got to see the first 30mins but Newcastle Xg 1.75 v 2.17 Liverpool Xg suggests it wasn’t a coast.

Even still a great result considering our recent form.

Gone away to the best defensive team in the country and beat them 2-0. Can't complain really when you consider this season has basically seen us to new lows on a weekly basis.

Alisson was our best for sure, that save at 0-0 particularly from Almiron was just massive. Think we would have got beat soundly had that gone in.

Bit of confidence for Real now.
