We need a fighter at the back against the Everton striker

Bring in Phillips for this match, he can’t be worse than matip

I can’t take is losing this game by 2-3 goals

      Please red men, please

If I was them would make this a blood and thunder, get the flying challenges in, scrap.
Expect Hendo to come back, probably for Bajcetic, for experience and physicality, not on the basis of form.

                 Ally
      Milner Philips Konate Robbo
      Keita Hendo Thiago
       Elliot Mo Nunez

Philips too cause Gomez hasn't been great, and Nat would head a brick. Good for this game.
Elliot for Gapko, the new lad has been a bit passive, not sure this game will suit him.
Nunez I'd drop if there was anyone else available, think high tempo make his passes are even worse, but what are the options.

Would settle for a draw, don't think this type of game is coming at a good time for us.
Don't care if that doesn't sound 'positive', just looking at this game, and our form, and putting 2 and 2 together.
Being a cheerleader ain't gonna put points on the board.
Need to dig in, do the dirty work, put in the honest effort, simple as that.

Yall act like we're playing Arsenal and not Everton. Sure we're in a bad way atm, but don't forget Everton are absolute sh*t.

They beat the league leaders while we lost to the third team from bottom of the league. I’d usually be first to dismiss the bitter blues, but the mood around the two clubs is polar opposite to ‘notmal’ so I can jnderstand the lack of rampant optimism!

Lot of shithousery was let go in that game. Maupay should've been sent off. Arsenal stunk and had just played City days before. Don't look too much into the game

Van Dijk, Firmino, Jota, Melo and Doak all back in team training.  Obviously early days but I'll take anything right now.

Everton will sit in for sure, they know they'll get an opening or two with our fragile defence/midfield so they'll play on that. Doesn't make sense for them to make it a 100mph game away from home.

Will be interesting to see if any of the lads that came back into training today get a game - Jota and Van Dijk especially would make a massive difference to our chances here.

I’m quietly confident going into this one, I think 4 of the injured lads returning to training will be a real boost, I can see Van Dijk starting and Bobby and Jota coming on off the bench.

      Alisson

      Alexander-Arnold
      Matip
      Van Dijk
      Robertson

      Henderson (c)
      Bajcetic
      Thiago

      Salah
      Gakpo
      Nunez

      Subs:

      Kelleher (GK)
      Gomez
      Tsimikas
      Elliott
      Fabinho
      Milner
      Keita
      Jota
      Firmino

      Reserve:

      Adrian (GK)
      Ramsay
      Phillips
      Jones
      Arthur
      Carvalho
      Oxlade-Chamberlain

      Injured:

      Konate
      Diaz

As we all know Dyche is now managing the Blues and I suspect he will be pleased with the win against Arsenal and injuries permitting I expect he will play the same team as last game:

      Pickford

      Coleman (c)
      Coady
      Tarkowski
      Mykolenko

      McNeil
      Doucoure
      Gueye
      Onana
      Iwobi

      Calvert-Lewin

      Subs:

      Begovic (GK)
      Mina
      Holgate
      Godfrey
      Vinagre
      Davies
      Gray
      Maupay
      Simms

They will be tough to beat as they will be confident, but I think we will win this 2-0 and get our season started.

Klopp saying Jota closest to being in contention for this one, Bobby maybe and Virgil unlikely.

See this is what annoys me. Out players it seems have to jump through every hoop twice to be cleared ready to play and allowed back into full first team training.

Yesterday , today, tomorrow and I assume a light session Monday morning and yet virg considered unlikely for the squad?

These players should be banging the door down to play. Fit, training and a game on Monday ... against Everton. Just f*cking get on with it.

I'd fully expect to see Jota, Virg and Bobby involved on Monday. It's a big game and we need them.

Would start all 3 if they are ready, but Bob and particularly Jota have been out a long time, big jump to go from a long layoff to a derby.
That said, would be great to see them even for 60 mins. Would give everyone a lift.

Think we also need leaders. So be good if VVD can start at the back. And would start Hendo in the middle. Bob up front if available, get us passing in the final 3rd. Milly at RB.   But VVD and Bob are up in the air.

Need a spine, and we are missing that recently.

If missing, would people play TAA RB and then Milly in the middle? I'd consider it if he's out.
