Surprised on Virg not been out long but maybe still not feeling 100% and don't want to risk . I wouldn't have played Thiago anyway Would go with Naby , Hendo and Bajetic . Just think with their big lads in midfield he might not play Naby and put Fab instead

Player X finishes match no issues. 8 days till next match. Player picks up injury out of nowhere and not fit.

Makes me going for a 4231 much easier now and thiago wouldn't have started in my team.

Positives though ... 3 back in contention if they don't pick up an injury in training and only 1 drops out ... so far.

Kind of reminds me of my staff in work who wait till someone is back off the sick and then they decide phone in.

FFS. Can our scouts take into consideration, a players injury record when they go recommending players for us. It seems like we don't really push for players who are never injured, like its a sign they don't put enough into a game. 'Go for the injury prone ones, they must be really smashing in the effort'.

Or is it our training methods that F**k them all up ?

I wrote that after Jürgen said Virgil probably wouldn't be ready.  We both want Virgil to start, but I think his first day back was Thursday, and not even for the full session. If he says he isn't ready yet, I have to accept it . Still a lot.of games left after this one.

I think a 1:1 draw is best we can hope for which hurts to say.

I can see Van Dijk starting and Bobby and Jota coming on off the bench.

Jota might come off the bench but no chance on the other two.  Won't even be in the squad.  From the sounds of it they are not close to a return. He'll want them ready for Madrid not Everton.  Think they might be back for Wolves/United at Anfield in March.
