Delighted, really good result and good performance.
      2 goals, clean sheet.
Ali my MOTM, some important saves at important times.
      Two well taken goals.
Jota could easily have had two.
Bob looks a bit slow, needs to sharpen up.

Midfield, much better from Hendo, Fab made it to end of game, looking more like himself.

Think VVD made a difference too, just look more composed when he's there.

      GREAT result, soo important.

After two wins go into the CL game against RM in a much better frame of mind, makes a BIG difference.

      CMON you Reds :) !!!!!!!!!!!!!

MOTM Alisson but what a cameo by Milner. Hendo can only do 60 mins so Milner is still a vital player. Back in the mix but Nunez might have a dislocated shoulder...Why that eejit ref Taylor didn't give a foul.Trippier went through Nunez.

      Rafa looks well.

Milner is a Terminator. He deserves a new contract, no kidding. Not sure in case of Bobby, but let's wait how he does down the stretch. Fabinho had a decent game also.

Overall a good feeling and 3 points, but also caution not to feel too confident bc in this game a lot played for us.

Definitely something to look for in the next weeks. But for now it can be explained with his long absence, so no problem so far.

Thought the overall performance was below par, but two well taken goals and 3 points when not playing well can’t be sniffed at. Onwards and upwards in the league and I’m positive the performance levels will be miles ahead for the visit of Real Madrid…

Sipping my beer a happy man , Allison was my MOTM , brilliant positioning and creating attack for the first goal , so many people have been doubting Nunez but last couple of games he's shown his skills , thoroughly enjoyed the game and hopefully keep the injury list down , thank you lads , keep it up please

Hi, just starting to work out how to work this forum. Haven’t been able to find anywhere to introduce myself; but all you need to know is being a red is in my blood.

That was one big statement. Before their red card, we managed the game well - let them have the ball, sat back and hit them on the counterattack to sucker-punch them.

After their red, we slowed the game down to suit us but did not retreat completely.

The only downside I see is our organisation when defending set-plays - we look all over the shop. The Toon could have easily scored when Schär headed wide from a set-piece.

We have gained confidence at the right time now prior to the big game Tuesday.

I felt TAA was awesome going forward bar a few bad touches. He sprayed passes all over the pitch which is what we need from him.

Nuñez ran his socks off as per. He is one hell of a player. 11 goals this season now…I think he will hit 20 by May.

      Anyway, onto Tuesday now.

Felt like our midfield is lacking. There was no one in there it seemed. Causing our fullbacks to always pass backwards. We need more options for the ball. Were we missing Thiago and Keita?

Great 10 minutes turned the game on its head and we showed what were capable of being. Lost momentum when they went to 10 men and we changed tactics.

Great win though. Right now the results are what matters. Ali was huge and Gakpo / Nunez look to be finding their feet.

The main observation I’ve made of that too many of our players have lost their pace, whether that’s overall pace or starting pace to beat players. Virgil is the obvious one, as he was always unbeatable. Fabinho looks as if he couldn’t catch cold. Gomez has lost his old pace, probably due to injuries. There are others in there as well. This needs addressing ASAP as it is a massive imbalance when the likes of Darwin are so rapid…

Only minor grumble; When was the last time we scored a goal against 10 men.

Redknapp saying should be a yellow card...waffle Jamie....Keepers will hand ball it every game if they HAVE to and if they can get away with it.  Defenders take a yellow all the time. Allowing the keeper to hand ball and get a yellow DISTORTS the game...it's a RED and should stay a RED..
