      Nunez Nunez Nunez!

Great performance in an attacking sense.

Bit shaky at the back but it puts us in good stead ahead of the game against Madrid!

Yeah and we don't see the hard craft behind closed doors. The pressure at LFC is immense for sure..Kenny will tell yer that. So getting us back into some sort of contention, given all the injuries, is a fantastic effort by the Boss and his backroom staff.

The pr**k that tried to snap Mo in the last 5 minutes should have walked as well. both feet of the ground jumps in misses the ball catches

That was a nasty challenge that.  Both feet were off the ground.

I tell you another nasty challenge as well - when Nick Pope cracked Kieran Tripper in the leg after he had handled the ball outside the box.  I think I watched that about five times so far and laughed each time.  Might watch it a couple more tomorrow morning! 😂

Our forward power means we always have a chance but the midfield and back 4 😩

Means at least it will be interesting until the end of the season.

Obviously it wasn't faultless by any means. Robbo was off a bit, they got in down his side a good few times. Probably Bajcetic's worst game. The play passed him by a lot of the time. VVD and Joe didn't command our box in the air. They had a few free headers.

Alisson saved us twice in one on one situations. Credit to Newcastle. They played well and showed great spirit. Hendo can only do an hour and Fabinho is still off his best, improving but still not as mobile or effective as he was.

Much better all round but still need to improve to get top 4 or near it and also to progress in the C/L.

The top 3 are clear of the rest of us. 11 points to you lot, 19 to Arsenal. 4th is the best we can get IMO

The top two look safe for CL and United getting close but not there yet. On paper for me the remaining two places go to either United-Liverpool-Spurs & Newcastle.

Watched a replay. Super happy with that. Even though we gave up some senseless chances, I’ll be honest I was never really worried they would capitalize. More of that please.

That was a tough watch. 3 points is all that matters right now but I couldnt help thinking, if they get one its going to be so hard to keep thdm out! Think I’ve aged (another) five years in that 90 minutes!
Great goals, great goalkeeping and Trent was awesome, but we are still so bloody easy to get through. At times the ‘tactical foul’ would have been a smart move, even though I hate the idea. City are masters of it.
Anyway, 3 vital points, a top 4 rival neutered and our luck seems to be changing, at last. Bring on Real!

Still haven’t been able to watch the game. I’ll do that later.
Listening to commentary, we are still vulnerable to the far post cross.
How long can that go on before we make moves to cover it.
On the plus side, great result and three massive points.
Bar codes could have scored 3 but we could have had another 4 or 5 so well deserved win.
      Just hope Nunez recovers quickly.

I'd like to see VVD engage in a few tackles rather than the predictable backing off. There was a tackle last week from Faes on Kane which not only took Kane out but led directly to a goal. We're still too passive in this area.

Would of been nice to get the third, but never felt in any danger that we'd concede two.

Two back to back wins and two back to back clean sheets. Finally starting to motor, hopefully now go on one of those runs that will get us into top 4.

He was our own carlsberg motm, but Carra on sky gave it to St Maximin, even though every shot from him was over the bar.

Just watched the game. Commentators creaming over bar codes chances, although we had more clear chances to score again than them.
Only reason they had a few chances was because we never got out of second gear. Ok they were down to 10 men, but even so, can’t remember the last time we coasted through a game that confortable
