I always remember in times like these what it was like in the 90s.

Personally I wouldn’t mind is in the Europa league or conference league next season. Would be good minutes for doak and Kelleher and other kids plus it will mean the main guns can be rested  mid week.

For me we need a new centre back and two new central midfielders. Build from that.

I expect at least 4 incoming.  Konate really is a big loss for.us think if we lose a forward or midfielder we have someone alike to come in. Huge drop off from Ibou to Gomez and that's even when he isn't on top form.

Imagine taking all of that effort to go dig through a bunch of posts to try and defend you slagging off the manager. Get a grip kiddo.

Just a staggering game

2 up and playing well , looking comfortable on and off the ball , even when they scored the first it looked ok but the error from Alisson before half time just turned the game

Came out in the second half and it was a different Madrid , clinical 5 goals from 6 shots I think it was.

Can’t drop the level that much against Madrid - they will just crucify you and that’s what they did. Just have to hold your hands up - going to be tough for anyone to beat them

3 mistakes cost us dearly its a different game and maybe some lads see these mistakes all season from the same players and think what is the point

The Alison error was the pivot, We were paralysed with doubt and fear after that. All the energy of the first 20 minutes just vaporised, felt a bit sorry for Stefan B. he was out of his depth with the quality of the opposition, boss should have taken him off much earlier. Attacking subs added nothing. One of the saddest nights I've witnessed at Anfield.

Klopp truly needs to hurt some dudes feelings. He needs to tell Gomez and Fab that we will always have Madrid and the the 2020 prem title, but im breaking up with you. He needs to give Bobby and Mily a big hug and push em towards the door. If you're gonna rebuild, than rebuild. You can't do it with old guys, guys who've lost their legs, and guys that aren't good enough. Sure that seems harsh, but the margins are fine and ruthless.

We're actually playing as well as we have all season, and still got spanked in the end.
At 2-0 down at Anfield, Palace, or Newcastle or whoever might capitulate, but that was a proper hardened experienced side who dug in and played us off the park.
Gave Bajcetic MOTM, gave the ball away a few times, but looked composed beyond his years most of the game. Once he and Hendo went off we completely lost our shape, chasing shadows.
Gave away some poor goals at the back again unfortunately. Maybe need more from Mo on a night like that, but maybe that's a bit harsh.

Think we all hoped for a result, but maybe deep down knew that that was more in hope than expectation.

This one doesn't hurt too bad because this has been secondary in my brain. In inevitable if you will. I knew we weren't gonna win # 7, so my mindset is push for top 4 and pray we get there. In all honesty this may be a blessing? I mean there was a scenario in my head of pushing deep into this tournament and crashing out and losing focus on the league and seeing us finish mid table.

I think it’s fairly plane to see Hendo and Fab can manage 50mins at the pace required at this level after that it was a straight line into our defence.

because they run it like a family business and keep a tight reign on the purse strings. We are in trouble going forward
