Under the lights at Selhurst Park against a Palace side desperate for a good result right after we've had our confidence shattered by Madrid.

      Not looking forward to this.

they will be allover us like a rash its probably the worst place to go to after last night.  Cut out the mistakes and bad passes and we have the quality but got to stop making fundamentally basic errors.

Could end up any score between 0-0 and 5-5.
      0-0 being most unlikely.

I think we need to keep the front three as they are. Nunez is starting to find his feet and salah is regularly scoring again. Jota and Bobby need to be eased in.

Defence is a shambles so doesn’t matter who you pick really.
Gomez makes too many unforced errors.
      Matip looks tired.
VVD is playing like every game is a testimonial.

Midfield I would just play the younger lads.
      Bajcetic jones Elliot.

Henderson and Fabinho can’t keep any intensity for more than a half and ox and keita limp off every time the ball goes near them. Thiago is not the player we need right now.

Yeah. Although I would like to see a more youthful midfield going forward for the rest of the season.

Do you really think it's going to matter?

Honestly...this is the exact opposite of a couple of years ago...then I didn't think it would matter who we put out there...we'd always win...now it doesn't matter who we put out there...I think we'll struggle.

Even though Klopp has given up on Keita and who could blame him, ffs play him for 45 mins at least then bring on Hendo or Fabinho.
When Keita plays we at least have a semi functioning midfield.

The idea that Klopp is going to make some dramatic drastic changes is wrong. The players have to stand up to their responsibilities and it has to obviously start at Palace.

We have 2 home games after that, Wolves and United. So yes the Real game was a disaster but the club, players and manager have to get a grip and do what they are handsomely paid to do...win football games.

Haven't been to Selhurst Park in a while, think last time was fa or league cup I can't recall but we got beat 2-1 under Rafa, Stevie scored and everyone else looked sh*te. Not an easy place to go. I suppose at least now we have all our eggs in once basket it's sh*t or bust, no excuses, go for it.

Not the easiest place in the league to go to and especially given the result last night.

I'm at a bit of a loss of what we should do especially in midfield.

I still think we've major issues there both in terms of form and formation/tactics.

Maybe a sold 2 with one in front is the way forward as many of us have looked for this season?

Yes, the freshness of the team will be one of the factors that will determine how well they perform on a given night.

What worries me is the fallout from that Madrid game. As soon as Madrid equalised, the players shoulders dropped and the will to fight disappeared.

I really worry about the confidence and the mental state of the players. So far, we thrived because of the mentality (“mentality monsters”). So what applies positively can also have a negative spin to it.

We can’t even look to the squad to step up. Jürgen seems to have just given up on Keita, Ox et al. Why can’t we just give Nat his chance? After all, we played in the champions league because of his heroics the year before?

No expansive football. Just solid defending and a series of 5 to 6 1-0 wins is the need of the hour.

      NB: Team no longer available

Our midfield is awful. I would think twice to play Milner instead of Henderson. Can't be as bad.

We need to be lifted. Hopefully, Gakpo and Darwin continue to lift us.

It seems to be a case of our forwards trying to score more goals than our defence ships in ! Not an easy task nowadays, especially against any decent opposition.

I like that the last weeks, culminating in the 2-5 vs. Real, gave a cumshot to Jürgen, Pep & FSG that prevents any sugarcoating about what to do in the future. But there is a fine line between gettin handled and gettin destroyed. I do not wanna see Jürgen leave, but if those losses continue he might give up. So I hope we do win or at least draw @CP. I hope Jürgen aborts his still high line game that is the cause for all that sh*t. Play conservative, try to not concede a goal and hope for Salah or Nunez.

      I totally agree.

Nunez for me have been the best player of the last weeks. Robertson behind him.

      Come on Reds.

Almost impossible to predict the outcome against Palace tomorrow evening. It goes without saying must not concede an early goal, or else the defence will fall apart.
Agree Nunez has been our best player lately, showing plenty of pace and willingness to drop back, helping out in defence. Need everyone to pull together to obtain a result or slip further down the table.

Going to be a tough game this. Everton and 10 man Newcastle were hardly convincing and we haven't reacted to bad defeats at all this season. We just follow it up with something even worse. So difficult times ahead. But I've had enough of some of them so it's time to make changes ... including some permanent ones. My team ...

                                 Alisson

Hear me out..was watching Utd on Thursday night against Barca and couldn't help think how suited we would be in the same formation. Like someone mentioned above with a 2 in midfield Bajcetic and Hendo with either Bobby or Harvey behind Nunez with Cody on the left and obviously Salah on the right. If fit enough maybe Jota up top and Nunez on the left. Just a thought..

I expect Virgil to be rotated out of the lineup tomnorrow. Klopp keeps talking about how he played too many games before and after the World Cup. I know he's a big miss when he's gone, but I think they are going to manage his  minutes very carefully the rest of the this season. It impacts our chances to win for sure, but I expect this, if not tomorrow, then the next game.

We will probably see Bajcetic and Gakpo held out sometime soon as well.

As good a game as any to put that f***in nightmare behind us, I can understand ppl’s apprehension of facing Palace but I’m betting the same apprehension was felt before we faced Toon, and that didn’t turn out to shabby did it ?

Different kettle of jobbies of course but a difficult challenge nonetheless, don’t think Palace will give us the kind of problems the likes of Brighton , Fulham or Brentford did, we were proper sh*te against that trio, we’re much better now and at times we’ve looked, well normal, but not quite at our best obviously,

I can see us taking our frustrations out against Palace once we’ve settled and quietened the crowd down a bit, can only see a Reds win despite our mad season, Palace will be their usual blood & thunder selves for 20 mins and once we start passing them to death and kill their threat will go all submissive and leave holes for us to exploit,

The sensible side of me( F**k off, you can stop laughing now) says 1-2, but my Psychotic part( which is never wrong) says 1-4, Nunez with a Hat, Mo from the spot.

We need to move on from Tuesday's match and give a performance.

If we do not concede early, we will win.

Some players needs to understand that they are playing for their spot in next year's team.

Trent isn't good enough. End of story. Milner a much better option at right back. Need to play with 4 defenders ... not 2 or 3. Least of our problems? Yeah whatever ... he's not good enough so let's stop pretending otherwise and pretending a pass or set piece every now and again makes him good ... it doesn't. He's an average player ... who thinks he's a lot better than he actually is. Him and Gomez ... total liabilities.

Salah Elliott Jota and Nunez is enough quality to create. Bob and Gapko to come on as well.

A solid back 4 with 2 sitting infront gives the platform for a solid performance resulting in 3 points.

Few times this season we've played teams that lack a bit of quality but they make up for it with willingness to work, press and pressure teams. It has caused us significant problems several times and has been the driving force behind a lot of our defeats.

Palace are no different, they work hard off the ball, try to run teams into the ground. If we don't at least match that work ethic, we could face another very difficult game.

Not too bothered about the score, as long as the Reds bounce back with a win against Palace later on. Conceding any silly goals will be our down fall and must avoid. Still I will go for a 1  3 score in favour of the Reds, here's hoping !

This will be a tough game, palace should be much higher than they are but they concede late goals. Our lads will be lacking in confidence, hopefully they can put Tuesday behind them and build on the Newcastle result. I think we may see Jota in the starting line up today. Hopefully Gomez is back on the bench. Need a good game from Salah today, really need him to dominate the way he can.
