Seen a thing on the clubs insta that had Jones covering the most distance, winning possession back more than anyone else and winning the most duels.

So maybe he did have a better game than weā€™re giving him credit for.

I thought he was very good. Deserves to start on Sunday. Another test for him ... Big game away from home.

I gave the MOTM to him. I am not a fan of his but was brilliant against Newcastle better than Gravenberch and Dominik.

      Jones is the new Gini

He is doing a lot of the ā€œunseenā€ work and people think he is having a quiet game

Against Newcastle he had 68 passes - 64 completed , created 3 chances , had 5 run where he beat more than one player , recovered the ball 8 times from 9 tackles , had 5 shots on goal with all on target and covered more of the pitch than anyone else

He was exactly what Klopp wants and if he keeps the consistency up will be hard to leave out

      That's it.

He's had a bit of that flair and instinct coached out of him to an extent but then has been coached into the kind of midfielder JĆ¼rgen wants him to be.

But still has more goals in him than Henderson and Gini. He has an aura about him that he ainā€™t scared of anything - never looks nervous.

And he adds the local passion , he is not scared to take players on and look to create , there is a reason why Klopp puts him against the top teams

Depends how serious we are about the FA Cup at this early stage mate.

With us leading the way in the League and a League Cup semi final coming up, the FA Cup may take a backseat and we play our second string against Arsenal (and still win of course).

Think we will see Elliott and Gravenburch come in for the FA Cup game

Be interesting if Elliott plays in the midfield or takes the Salah role.

So I think it might be Gravenberch, Mac Allister and Gakpo in the middle. Elliott and Diaz either side of Jota.

Obviously with the injuries we've got starting to pile up as well as other enforced absences, our options are becoming a bit more limited in what we can do.

I think we'll be a more experienced at the back mate with at least Trent or Gomez starting. Gomez may be more likely to be given the day off as we can't afford another injury to him right now.

We've got Fulham on the 10th then don't play again for eleven days, I didn't realise the gap was so big until the Bournemouth game. The fourth round of the FA Cup is where we could throw a few more kids in as we would be in a position of four games in ten days including the two League games against Bournemouth and Chelsea as well as the second leg against Fulham.

No game for eleven days, followed by four in ten seems a bit mad to me. I suppose that's the issue with being successful.

      Of course a big gap

Then VVD and TAa will play

      Quote from JD
It's all bullshit. Tierney down as a Wigan fan. Come off it. Never known as many lower league fans as PL referees.

Taylor tried twice tonight to put Salah off for his pen. Worked the first time for him. Second time Mo respotted the ball and composed himself.

There are 92 professional clubs in England and hundreds more that are not. Should we hold a committee meeting here where we can all get together, and instruct referees which teams they can and can't be a fan of? Taylor gave us two penalties for minimal contact, and booked the keeper for good measure. Yet he should be banned from our games because of where he's from? It's not like he had much choice over where he arrived into the world.

663 posts in this thread, barely 100 since the game finished. I can therefore only assume most of them were between 15-50 mins of the game, and 53-73 mins.

45 points from 60 so far, clear at the top of the league, and still in 4 competitions. Relax.

      Full of it as ever!
There are certain officials who display an obvious bias consistently, impartial commentators have pointed it out.

Only the FA can remedy the situation - enuff said!
