Makes for good reading that Billy.
Personally I'd prefer to see Nunez start up top, and young Harvey in the middle. The two give us so much energy. I agree that's good against tiered legs, but we so often are chasing games late on. Wouldn't it be nice to have all that energy at the start and get ahead, then change to Jota/Diaz and Gakpo/Grav to see the game out
With that, Ive gone 1-3 to the reds.
See where your at mate in regards to starting Nunez, however I doubt Jürgen will be so gung ho against these fuckers, for me we need to match them and be a constant threat as they will be, a battle of the wills if you want, it’s a good test for us to see how much of the corner we have turned and it could prove we’re not all the way around yet, however a good result, even if it’s a draw will tell us how far we’ve progressed from last season,
Imo, City have peaked and aren’t as good as the were, and although still the best in the league, however where their experience will carry them thru we have youth, fresher legs and are arguably hungrier, the rebuild for me has been better than perhaps we imagined, we are ahead of the game so to speak in a transitional sense, all of this of course could just be wishful thinking and at the end of the day the simplicity of 11V11 will ultimately decide where we’re at,
I think we will prove that we are indeed Pep’s ultimate pain in his arse, Arse bottled it last season with the lack of experience being their downfall, only the lack of legs was ours, we have addressed that now and I believe this season we’ll at least put a marker down for the next few seasons, we’re already in the mix this campaign yet the transition is incomplete.
