Utterly stupid decision to let Mane go. Really came back to bite us..

We have been nothing this season. Bar a few decent results.. just utter nonsense throughout.

What a stupid thing to say

      City: Bernardo, De Bruyne, Gundogan.

      United: Bruno, Eriksen.

      Arsenal: Odegaard.

      Spurs: Bentakur.

We have 0 goal scoring midfielders in this team, someone that can bail the team out with a long shot even when we are playing sh*t. We have to pray that our forward can finish or else the goals are not coming. I miss having a goal scoring midfielder like Countinho, Gerrard.

Mane leaving was the start of your downfall, not saying it was just that but basically it’s where it all started to go wrong.

We also have no one who can dribble past players. Barnes type or robben etc
Against low block teams it’s those types of players who can unlock defences

It is indeed but I think it's a lazy assessment that doesn't carry much weight to be honest.

Mane was pretty poor for spells last season before he left and only really performed for the last third of the season.

He wanted out and we have replaced him with another young exciting forward who is part of a new forward line that needed a change anyway.

And most (all?) of our recent success was without a scoring midfielder, which we haven't had since Coutinho "got hurt". Large portion of our offense came from our RB/LB pushing forward and feeding our strikers, which is why Robbo and Arnold were always near the top of the assist table.

Absolutely, but some of these guys just can't see when it is as clear as day. Back when we let Mane go, they rubbished the idea that it was a poor decision. When we started the season poor, they still rubbished the idea that it was a poor decision. Even now after a shocking season, they still can't accept it!!

As I said back then, we should have kept Mane and that would have given Nunez time to bed in and get up to speed. That would have been the smart approach. Mane could have helped us this season when we have struggled - there is no denying we struggled for goals.

A season of poor decision making and players being allowed to not put in a shift. We went to Salah's holiday villa to beg him to stay and meet his demands, and that set in the rot. Players knew that we could be pushed around. Trent for one has continued his holiday. Not a care in the world.

I never called these lads "mentality monsters" because that hype was utter nonsense. This season they have been lazy and arrogant, and played with no football intelligence at all.

Suppose we could all argue ( at times ) we see what we want to see but I remember the shift change and demeanour in Liverpool players when they heard he was leaving. Didn’t Carra say he was his favourite player ( not sure if he meant best ever  ) at one time?

Obviously there’s now many factors  now why your form has dipped and looking like a long transition judged by passed spendings of FSG. It’s not going to happen over nite, United proved that and still not back.

But yeah, me personally I thought that’s where it started and not forgetting the amount of games you played last year was paramount to your downfall this year along with other factors.

Ps… I’m also still of the opinion none of its Klopps fault, it’s the tools…

Don't think that's in doubt, whether it be a coincidence or not your form did dip.
