I see the F.A. Are to take no action against the linesman who elbowed Robertson, and again the F.A.show there usual anti Liverpool bias

No action, yet. The FA can appeal the initial decision, as they have before.

He is also on the FIFA list. I expect FIFA and Collina to take action if the FA don't.

Robbo perhaps thought this poor guy could lose his job if he pursued it further so thought the better of it. It is though a striking double standard that a player can push a ref in the heat of the moment, apologise but still be banned for 8 games, whilst an official charged with upholding the rules of the game can elbow a player in the chin and get off scot-free.

The rules should be the same for officials as players, as we all know this is not the case, especially under the F.A.

      It’s crazy

Yeah Robertson can wind people up, and I don’t want to see anybody lose their job just because they made a poor decision, but he had to get some kind of ban. Mitrovic gets banned for 8 games and the linesman gets away with it. Corrupt. The whole system is a joke.

I think the club and Robbo should accept the decision and move on. Some reasons why-

Players and officials are different. Players are multimillionaires but officials are "normal" people trying to do a job. This man's career could be ruined by this incident.

It's in the long term interest of the club to let this drop. Spending the next few months creating a drama will only give us a bad reputation with other officials and may affect their future decisions, either consciously or unconsciously. Jürgen's team have had a reputation for playing fairly. Obviously we have a few players who go down a bit easily (mostly Mo) but all clubs have some players like that. We generally we don't get involved in dodgy practice as much as other teams.

It was a moment of stupidity by the linesman. It's reported that he's spoken to Robbo about it and they both are happy to move on. That's a good outcome for me.

Did anyone expect them to take action? It's a mob mentality of them sticking together vs everyone else. They do it with var a lot. Oh so and so got it wrong we're sorry but he'll still have his job come next weekend

Robertson should have informed the police than an assault has taken place and hand over the video footage.

Next time he walk past an official he should elbow them in the face and then just apologise to avoid disciplinary action.
In fact Robertson and VVD should clothesline a match official.
