I just love Trent so much and he needs to be in the team! We have an AWFUL away record this season and just feel we need a steady person at full back.

      Fair enough mate.

We do have an awful away record and part of that is our defence. I genuinely feel we need to buy a world class ready to go straight in right back this summer.

Obviously a world class 6 added to that and van dijk getting back to something like his best will be needed as well.

Trying to be optimistic for tonight. But their crowd will be right up for it as will their team and I just see us coming out ... as per in neutral and second to everything.

Might be worth trying to get 55 out of Diaz just to see if it gives us a boost.

VVD, Ali, Mo, Sadio were already very good when we signed. VVD and Ali were even acquired at world class fees.

How many Robertsons did we sign? Under £10m and became captain of your national team and became close to world class. How many?

Don’t think any of them were what anyone would call World Class

      They were good players

And what players would you say we are acquiring these days? The next Robertson as always?

Then why can’t we keep up this season? Who are those very good players with potential to be superb?

So are we doing everything right? Obviously not. What can be done better or do you think we are doing everything perfectly despite poor results?

Can we go on doing the same sh*te?

It’s very rare for any club to do everything right

The way the players are recruited won’t change ,

Then what needs to change? Or is status quo good enough and there’s no need to change? This is off topic.

We need to win tonight. But I don’t know how. I’ll just watch. On topic

Will Trent play the 'inverted' right back. Problem is it splits the 3 left at the back. City deploy Stones in a similar way but he generally stays deep playing just off the back 3.

Trent plays higher which should allow Hendo to sit in with Fabinho. It's a bit of a compromise position as far as Trent is concerned and as soon as a team exploits the gap their will be howls of protest.

Might be used more of a home gambit and although Trent will support he will hold his full back position a bit more tonight.

Hope not as it was a mess against Arsenal and added nothing , it did leave Konate exposed.

Well he did 'nutmeg' the defender to assist the equaliser. Think the boss saw City and even Arsenal using it and decided Trent could do it. Trent's defending early on in his career wasn't in focus as much as it is now. The only redeeming factor is his support play.

A decision has to be made sooner or later. Any back 4 that has a weak link is a big problem.

The nutmeg which happened back in an area where he has been creating for years

I’m all for getting him on the ball more but last week it exposed the back line

Gotta go for it tonight right from the off, keep at them from the whistle, don't let them settle into any sort of pattern and batter their goal, would love to see the much missed Diaz get a run out later on in the game and punish tired legs.

The crowd will be up for it tonight so we need to keep them quiet, the travelling Kop will be in full voice with their repertoire of brilliant songs.

Gone for a very slight LFC win, I hope so anyway, come on you mighty redmen!!

Any of their players on a goal drought? Might be worth a bet on them scoring 😂 other than that I’m hopeful for a 2-1 win.
