Well for him it's a wasted season of his prime. The best players in the world don't want to play in Europa league.  He's playing for Liverpool not Brighton to be happy about finishing 5th.

That's football. Mo's figures continue to be excellent but there were plenty of crunch points / games where he simply fluffed his lines like everyone else so he's not the exception here.

Happy with those comments from Mo. It is a disgrace, and nice to see a player recognise it.

Much rather that than the mercenary careless attitude. Unfortunately, he and too many of the squad played with that attitude for most of the season.

Agree to a point -- it is the bare minimum when you've come close to a quadruple -- but you don't post stuff like that on Twitter. You focus on making things right

It’s been a good run to end the season after a poor middle when we lost too many games and threw away points

And Mo also has to play his part in that with penalty misses in big games that cost us points

It's a team game and as much as Mo's numbers have been good he's made his fair share of mistakes, particularly with those two awful penalties. As a whole we have been poor and will finish exactly where we deserve to.

It's up to Mo and the rest of them to correct it next season. Might be a 'wasted season' to you but there's still four trophies up for grabs.

The season as a whole has been a bit weird from winning 9-0 to getting beaten by Forest adn then beating the Scum 7-0. Two missed penalties from Mo cost us points but its done and it ended up with a really decent run at the end of the season.
Its largely up to  how the club now finances the rebuild if its half hearted we are in trouble. Its clear the value of good players has gone through the roof and we need to be realistic in this and quality costs I hope we have the stomach for this when the money is required.

A person like Mohammad Salah should be in the cl. He has been good this year, his numbers back it up with assist and goals. Without him we would be in the relegation zone this season

He’s generally criticised more by our fan base and is greatly greatly under appreciated as klopp put it and that will be known in years to come

I would say it’s not been good enough from a lot of players and staff in Liverpool, but for Salah, he has been good enough definitely this season, one of the few players who can say that

I would take it as a hyperbole and him trying to relate to supporters he is disappointed as the rest of us not getting into the UCL and with the season in general.

With the exception of the keeper...The whole squad has underperformed, Salah included. A keeper saving a penalty doesn't qualify as a mistake, but missing the goal completely does...not hitting the target were mistakes.....It happens.

Salah has scored and assisted 30 times this season

That’s not under performing, that’s having a good season, not a great one but a good one and anyone who says those numbers don’t mean a good season, well I just don’t know what world they are living in (not attacking you here btw) take awya his goals and replace his numbers with other forwards and we would be closer to the bottom 3 than top 3

If the other attackers each did 3/4 of what he did then we would have been in the top 4 

Like I said, I’m not going to argue but salah is by far the most hated top player we had from our own fan base that I have seen and it’s a shame others judge him to a higher standard and I’m waiting for the obvious wages he is on blah blah from another poster. The top players are paid more at other clubs btw and he delivered and would have delivered even more if he got better service this year

His job is score and create goals and he does that better than all of our attackers, it’s not his fault we lost our legs, he still works very hard in every game with his pressing and so on

Like I said when he does go, only then will people appreciate him

Yeah, definitely the best way of getting back in there. In all likelihood, because of the move towards a 36 team tournament, the top 5 in the league will qualify for the Champions League (due to England's coefficient being so high).

It's a big big summer for Liverpool. Get it wrong in the transfer market and fail to get a grip of the injury pandemic that afflicted us so badly and you can forget about finishing even 5th.

I'm not having a go here, as I think Salah is top drawer, but remember, his 30 goals and assists weren't created by him alone. There are always other players involved, so all the other players had good moments as well as bad.Including mo, just too many bad ones collectively.
