Ref Gallagher on Sky Ref watch came out with usual BS...Jota was red Sipp wasn't....Ref Gallagher..."In slow motion the Skipp challenge looks much worse.."....WTF does that mean...It's still the same challenge...Skipp lunged at the ball..it was a dangerous challenge and it was lucky Diaz was able to walk away from it. Slow motion doesn't change the tackle.

Been said that the Jota high kick endangered Skipp and that's why it should've been a red....Skipp did not play the ball..he lunged at ball and player....back in the day that was called a dirty tackle....Tommy Smith would've stayed on his feet and gone in with his boot side on. Skipp lunged with his studs showing..got a slight touch on the ball and followed through with no regard for the damage he would do...that was a red card tackle. Tierney is a crap ref...he had a clear view and did nothing.

Part of the script. If we had them so easily, we’d not need any reinforcements - because “hell you can cope! Why would you need a budget for reinforcements?”

      hahaha this is true.

yup. skipp was a red, I think Jota was a lucky boy, but think yellow was fair as it was accidental and skipp did duck into the header.

Not wishing to mess with the space time continuum Marty, he was wrong to give Jota a yellow card, as the president had been set, when Haaland didn't get one for the same offence, attemp to get the ball off someone's head.

      As I said....

It would appear Sky have taken down yesterday's ref watch ... obviously with the video of haaland 'not getting the ball and kicking the guy in the head' video going round .... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Same video had Gallagher condoning the assault on Diaz.

Instead it's a video on klopp being in trouble.

Gallagher shows the confusion and inconsistency that is commonplace in refereeing. The Haaland high kick was no different to the Jota high kick. Yet Gallagher gives two totally different decisions. He's not alone in the regard. Happens numerous times every weekend.

That's the issue here - inconsistency.

He was also a sh*t ref in his day so that doesn't help.

Didn't have that bad a game, not great but not bad enough to drop him unless he DID say something to Klopp.

They're picking the F***ing bones of that amazing come back with the blue eyes!
Sutton commenting on Jürgen's celebrations saying he has got "previous" with getting over excited!

To question Jota's yellow for the accidental high challenge is insinuating it was intentional when that inference is actually ABH, some commentators really get carried away.

He's had 28 games this season, a quarter of them have been our matches.

Funny how we get Tierney for a quarter of our games, an alleged Man U fan yet not that I like him, but Rob Jones is a Liverpool fan and yet I don’t think we have had him in charge of a Liverpool game.

      Quote from Longy-Shops
True both worthy of straight reds. The fact the first wasn't even given as a foul is frankly weird and can only be down to sheer incompetence by the officials. Obviously had Skipp been dismissed then Jota couldn't have kicked him in the grid when he did. I'm glad it should have been a red for Jota because it amplifies the sense of injustice for Spurs. We got 3 points, they got none....Happy days.

We're off to compare different incidents in the same game again it seems.

The Diaz incident is a yellow. You would be upset to get a red for that. That's been a yellow card all season, at worst.

The Jota one is not a red. He wins the ball, there's no intensity, then the opponent puts his head just in the exact place for the foot to hit it. Accidental.

Shirt pulling seems to go unpunished these days, so Mo is not going to get a foul for it. He's used to having his shirt pulled every week and nothing happens. Once he caught the opponent however, it was always going to be a free kick against him.

As for Jürgen, honestly, he'll be lucky if he escapes a 2 match ban, as he's already served one this season, and it obviously was no deterrent. I can't understand managers protesting to fourth officials anyway, they may as well be protesting to the VAR 200 miles away. It does as much good.
