That's a cracking win considering we were genuinely playing 12.

And they hardly had a chance when you think about it

For a team that makes a virtue out of being physical it's remarkable the amount of times the Brentford players go down like a sack of spuds.

Funny how it was Toney falling over on his arse that let Virgil in for the goal.

I rate what Frank has done on a limited budget but their style of football is absolutely grim.

cracking hard won victory against a horrible horrible team who just play for free kicks . Again what the F**k do we have to do to get a proper Referee he was sh*te. So in the last 8 games we have a 95 point season based on that played awful at times but ground out results.
If we could take UTD to the last game how good would that be.

I can see them going down next season. If your game is based on running into the opponent like it's rugby union then you're going nowhere fast. They've been lucky to hold fire on a lot of their results this season. This is a very poor season of football and the fact that Brentford are in the top half of the table is indicative of that.

Heck, the fact that we are still in with even a sniff of CL football is indicative given how bad we've been this year.

Best team won in the end ! Brentford players with falling down disease ! there are only so many free kicks that a dodgy ref can give surely !Cody Gakpo fitting into the team nicely now and looking strong ,I did think our midfield dropped off a bit second half , but who do we put on ? bit short there

Looking at the game we had no connectivity. Think playing a 4th striker is worth trying more often. Didn't really work today and it needs game time. Trent apart from the chip to put Nunez in was poor. Cody wasn't as effective as Bobby. Nunez and Jota didn't seem to have defined roles.

Jones does the simple stuff well but he did very little in the second half. Fabinho had to cover almost across the front of the back 4 single handed. Konate wasn't at his best. Brentford found space in mid far to easily. Not one of our best.

Mo the pick of the front lads by a ways. Gapko did OK. Thought Jota/Nunez/Diaz [when came on] didn't do much, Nunez missed a sitter.
Fab did well enough considering the only holding midfielder.
Thought VVD and Konate were more aggressive in their defending which was good to see, plus considering with us being light in the middle they didn't have a lot of cover.
Disappointed with Brentford, for a so called physical team, they were down easily, and a lot.
And the ref was pretty crap,
Got away with another goal being ruled out by VAR.
Clean sheet, 3 points, but left ourselves a bit too much to do to salvage CL. Unless Utd or the barcodes implode...
