Looking at the game we had no connectivity. Think playing a 4th striker is worth trying more often. Didn't really work today and it needs game time. Trent apart from the chip to put Nunez in was poor. Cody wasn't as effective as Bobby. Nunez and Jota didn't seem to have defined roles.

Jones does the simple stuff well but he did very little in the second half. Fabinho had to cover almost across the front of the back 4 single handed. Konate wasn't at his best. Brentford found space in mid far to easily. Not one of our best.

Thought we done ok first half, but as is the norm lately, fell apart in the second half.
Can’t think why it can happen so regularly.

Just need to hope arsenal beat Newcastle and West ham beat united. If that happens we're right back in it.

At least we are putting them under pressure. One of them could blow up. Newcastle only need 7 pts from 15 available, so in reality we can only hope United blow up. Hammers game is vital.

Brentford play to break up games the number of soft free kicks they get is just mad. just pray for a Newcastle and UTD defeat tomorrow keeping them on their toes. 3 games left just win them and finish on a high with confidence fully restored .

Generally a poor performance but another 3 points is a good result. Also, trying a few different tactical options while still winning will hopefully help the coaching staff plan for next season.

A scratchy win but it’s good to get a couple of 1-0s in a row, not something we’ve generally managed to do this season. Great to keep the pressure on the two sides above us. To catch Newcastle we really need to score more goals though and find a way to win a couple comfortably. At least we look secure for European football now (it was from secure a few weeks ago and with a big squad you have to have midweek competition to keep them happy).

      Let’s see what tomorrow brings.

I thought we were decent first 25 then, as has happened a lot lately, we gave them the ball a lot and said, “what can you lot do, then?”
Second half we had a bit more cintrolled possession but didn’t create much, but they never looked dangerous either.
I wish we’d stop giving teams the chance to dictate the pace by giving up possession in ths middle and letting them con the ref into giving them a free kick, we are so naive at times.
Still, 3 points, pressure on the barcodes andespecially the manure.
We are doing our part, let’s hope the Hammers do theirs.

      Shocking performance from the ref.

Seemed like the officials were out to get us after what Klopp said last week. His officiating today was so desperately bias it was unbelievable. Even the commentators were surprised at how much he was giving to Brentford.

That one just outside the box when Robertson touched the guy and the ref gave a freekick. Totally ignored the lad who ran into the box with the ball and dived when Nunez went towards him. Should have been a yellow for the dive, but ref just pulled it back and gave the free kick.

19 fouls against us. Probably the most all season. 10 against Brentford. And dished out 4 yellow cards to us. 2 to them.

After this season, missing on CL will help us in the long run. I think we need a hard reset on how we operate. We need to go back to the basic, like Jürgen did when he first came here.

We need to make sure that Jürgen gets his targets. More quality and get rid of all deadweight. Then fill our ranks with young academy players, or sign some promising youngsters. We need to get the average age of sqyad down, think that's the key to get that hunger back.

P.S Toney and Moumbe or whatever the F**k his name is, should both be playing in either Spain or Italy where they make diving an art form!!! sh*t cu*ts!!!

Dead right mate. Thought Mbuemo was particularly pathetic. An overly large bit of embarrassment.

The Premier league is the worst league for diving, cheating and gamesmanship now. The Italian league may have been the worst at one time but this league is something else. They're all at it.

And encouraged by VAR. The Foden pen was nothing more than a coming together in the box, slightest touch and he throws himself over. Turning play in the box to netball standard contact.

Thought we were sh*te the whole game, that first half although decent, was still miles off our capabilities, ppl saying we were ok are perhaps inadvertently accepting that kind of performance as ‘the norm’, it may be this season where at no point have we been anywhere near our best, we have improved slightly last few weeks but, let’s be brutally honest here, it’s a million miles from where we have been last few seasons,

It is what it is this season and we’ve all had to accept that we can’t have it good all the time, we’re not f***in City where with their fraudulent ways will never have to rebuild or be in transition, they just buy whoever they want without the use of the begging bowls Jürgen holds out to FSG,

We all point the finger at FSG and their fu**ed up mantra, but their not totally to blame here, and this is my sticking point with Jürgen, the man is a living legend, there is no other out there with his capabilities, no one can replace him, however, he’s far too loyal to his players, not a bad thing, at times,  but it does stifle us going forward,

‘Sir Bob’ would not have hung on to, Milly, Hendo, Fabinho, Bobby as long as Jürgen has, for example, that’s a whole midfield right there as well as part of the spine, today’s modern players are far more healthy than those in the ‘70’s & ‘80’s were, so they can add longevity to their CV’s as well as their obvious skill levels, the difference is Bob didn’t give a sh*t how fit you were, if he seen someone better than what he had he’d try and land him, he was Ruthless, his own CV will attest to that,

We got the job done yesterday, that’s what we did, but we struggled even to do that, had we Thiago starting yesterday i think we’d have been two or three up @HT, in summer we need to find someone like him, Trent moving forward is great, it works but we need to have versatility, a plan ‘b’ and ‘c’ , having only one way of playing isn’t a good idea, we missed his influence and his creativity, something Curtis can’t provide, know one knows who will arrive or how many, I just hope that one is of the creative type,

Like I said we got the job done, a massive three points, now we have to rely on others to provide hope, again, not what we should accept, we shouldn’t have to rely on ‘hope’ to bring CL football.
