      Ballon D’Or 2023
      May 09, 2023 09:39:04 pm
Just looking at the market for this years Ballon  D’or and I see yet again Messi odds on fav to win. 😱😱😱 What I can’t work out is why? Haaland & De Bruyne should be first and second favs by a country mile. Messi done nothing this year compared with these two, he’ll I wouldn’t even have him on the list.

Personally I can’t split the two. Who do you fancy to win it?

So you base it just on the World Cup ? A handful of games? I might be wrong but I’ve always based it on a season? Is my thinking the wrong way? Think must of would agree we thinks there’s bias goings on anyway?

So you think he deserves to win it then as you’ve not really said?

Even more weird is the fact that Messi is on the verge of being put out to graze in Saudi Arabia!

Exactly and that tells you its own story. Too much emphasis is put on the World Cup. Let’s me honest the likes of Norway ever winning one are zilch so Haaland no chance if that’s the case. Not that I mind, I just don’t think it’s fair. Not forgetting it’s fixed too.    ;D

As well as Messi don't forget Ronaldo who will also be chewing the cud and on the short list.

Looks like Messi is off to Saudi Arabia. With any luck he might stumble across a personality to call his own there.

This is the problem isn’t it, it’s so hard for anyone to have morals when such vast amounts of money are involved in enticing players of all sorts and not just those in their swan song years. I don’t think it’s much different for fans ( apart from getting the ££ ) wanting owners that will spend spend spend to get the top players in and not blink at the monies involved. All we get as fans ( hopefully) is our team doing well in the domestic league & CL. Not much to ask for is it when we put it into prospective.  Players get the luxury of life, we get smiley faces 😂

How much money do these cu*ts need?

When Ronnie went there, heard about if for about 2 weeks. Never heard of him again.

These guys just taking the cash and then fading away into obscurity. Greedy cu*ts.

Well it certainly isn't need by any stretch of the imagination. It's more an illness; Acute Greed....it's an addiction, and the Saudi's are happy to feed it with their bottomless pit of $.

I prefer it when they pay out lots of money for old, past their best players to join small clubs in Saudi. If Ronaldo, Messi, Benzema, etc want to go there and earn 100s of Millions for exhibition games it's understandable. Hopefully, they will focus less on buying uk clubs and distorting the competition in premier league and European competitions.

Unfortunately, they will probably do both.

Messi reportedly going to MLS. If that’s the case props to him because he definitely won’t be getting the kind of money he would in Saudi Arabia.

Not in a million years for me.

There's an argument to be had that Messi and Ronaldo have consistently been picked for this on reputation alone over the last few years.

Ronaldo has now got 199 international caps. I know he appears to have a massive ego and probably a total pr**k but that is a big achievement for anyone.
