      St. Mary's hosting our last match of the season





      Starting XI: Kelleher, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Gomez, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Milner, Jones, Jota, Salah, Firmino.

      Subs: Adrian, Konate, Henderson, Gakpo, Elliott, Diaz, Carvalho, Arthur, Williams.

      Liverpool make seven changes for today’s final-day clash with Southampton.

      Roberto Firmino and James Milner are handed starts on their last appearances for the Reds at St Mary’s.

      Caoimhin Kelleher begins in goal, while Joe Gomez, Joel Matip and Kostas Tsimikas are named in defence. Diogo Jota is selected in attack.

      Would have preferred to play Elliott or Carvolho instead of Firmino and Milner.

      We should look for the future rather being sentimental but why not.

      Why we we playing such a weakened defence ? Away as well

      Why take the risk of a thrashing by the bottom team? We have already lost to enough teams in the bottom half this season to take a risk like this

      Because the result is of no importance...Having said that I fully expect us to win, because we have better players...which should give us an advantage...you'd think........maybe.

      Ending on a win is important, It can set us up nicely for next season but no reason to gamble here with a weak team
