Interesting. How often would someone from Nice want fly to Blackpool? Is the Big Dipper that much of an attraction

One of the all time greats his dad. I would probably have in my best XI of the last 30 years.

If this is coverage for Fabinho it’s excellent business. Get it done and then move on to CB cover.

Thuram will probably play no.6 on occasion, but I suspect that the midfield setup below is what Klopp is working towards given that Thuram seems more like a ball-carrying box-to-box no.8 rather than a "lighthouse" no.6 DM.

      --------- Fabinho (29)  ------------------
      --------- Bajcetic (18)  ------------------
      --------------------------------------------------
      Thuram (22) -------- MacAllister (24)
      Henderson (32) --------- Thiago (34)
      Elliott (20) ----------------- Jones (22)

Essentially Thuram would be taking Henderson's spot over time, rather than Fabinho's. This makes sense from an age perspective since Fabinho is 3 years younger than Henderson so there's less urgency to replace Fabinho as there is with Henderson/Thiago. Bajcetic may already be lined up as Fabinho's replacement too.

This setup would also afford Henderson opportunities as the no.6 as he ages (just like how Gerrard moved back to DM in his last year), since that role is less intensive physically than the two CM spots.

MacAllister of course will be occupying the Gini/Thiago LCM role.

Overall there would be excellent balance from an age profile perspective, with 2-3 veterans in the 29-34 bracket; 2 under-21's, and 3 entering their primes around 22-24.

Thuram has verbally agreed personal terms with LFC (Football Tranfers)

Have to wait and see if there's any meat on the bones of this report,  in the same context is a report that LFC have scheduled talks with the representatives of Borrusia M. Manu Kone (Fabrizio Romano).

I agree chats you shouldn’t 😂  I can find you videos on you tube of Harry Maguire looking like he’s the best CB in the world.   :lmao:

Videos of players are only there to show the positives of players and not the negatives. 🤦‍♂️

Rumors that Nice aren’t playing nice and don’t want to negotiate. Isn’t their owner the soon to be new owner of the sh*t club in Manchester? That should be a fun negotiation.

Try for a bit, but if they don't want to sell then quickly move on to another target. Last thing we want is to spend the window trying only to realize a week before deadline day that its not happening and now nobody wants to sell so close to the window and so we bring in Arthur Mk2 on loan.

He’s their most valuable asset and he doesn’t have a release clause so it’s to be expected really.

He’s also getting ready for the U21 Championships so can see why it might drag a bit. As long as the club have a deadline in mind for when to move onto the next target it’s all good.

Like the look of this kid. We should be in pole position for players in this bracket as our midfield problems are so glaring they know they will get regular football.

In a funny way I suppose it also ensures we attract the right sort of player, over some of those who'd rather play second fiddle or just take a big wage. It's very easy for your career to plateau if you don't absolutely want to play above all else.

Our need to buy the players we want will always bring about some digging in of heels by unwilling to sell clubs, we can’t just expect CEO’s just to roll over and give up their prize assets just because LFC come knocking,
And digging yer heels in almost guarantees earning more capita for whoever is being targeted, so long as greed doesn’t spoil the party, a happy compromise is normally the way to go,

If Kone or indeed Thuram are Jürgen’s next targets i can’t see or would expect us to over pay for them and will have alternatives if negotiations go tits up, the deal for Mac Allister I reckon was unbelievable, I was expecting a price of up to £60m so to land him for considerably less was well, impressive to say the least,

We obviously have a budget we probably can’t go over but that’s what negotiations are for, so will have some leeway when the most stubborn of CEO’s dig in,

I’m just excited by the fact we will some new faces to get to know, watch how they develop and grow and of course what kind of animal is released at the seasons start, will we see a new system altogether or a hybrid version of what we were in our pomp and a fresher, younger more vibrant version of the last few weeks of the last season, complete with inverted Trent roaming & prodding ?

So one thru the door already, and hopefully another one or two this week or so, Jürgen will want all new faces in asap, to maximise pre season and to allow new lads to settle and get familiar with everything LFC,
It won’t take long for us to have a properly prepped and ready starting X1 charging up the table ripping heads off as we go,

would love us returning to the rock N roll version and just batter everything in sight, you score one, we’ll score three, in yer face high paced intensity, that’s one way of playing but we need to have plan b & c as a back up, we got caught with our pants down of course eventually when we didn’t have a B or a C to revert to and that wasn’t too nice a feeling !!

All this excitement of new players and a new season approaching is enough to give a Nun a hard on  !! 🤪

He certainly looks like a potential beast.  Seems to be built like Viera was -- long, strong, and still reasonably quick.  Probably a more exciting signing than Mac due to his potential even though Mac is the better player right now.
