Outstanding today, bossed the midfield, best player on the pitch.

IMHO that was his best game for us so far. Sensational.

Seems to have found his form and finally finished his adaptation period right around the time Endo left for the Asian Nations Cup. Good timing and I'm impressed with his last two games (today and against Bournemouth).

He's quicker on the ball, his passing is good and much more forwards oriented, decision making is also much improved compared to earlier in the season where he seemed to make the wrong pass more often than not. On top of that, I feel like his pressing is finally getting to be the level a Klopp team requires from its midfielders.

I absolutely love Endo and cant wait to have him back, but Mac is doing a good job making me forget about him for the time being.

He has really stepped it up as of late, finding his feet maybe or feeling that Endo may have taken his spot, either way he is back no1. in that position for me and with Trent and Dom coming back that midfield is going to dominate the second half of the prem.

We have not had a midfielder like him in a long time. He is going to be amazing for us.

Agreed mate, it genuinely felt like he ran the show himself. No disrespect to Szobo and Jones, who both played great, but they were a little more advanced and Mac just swept up everything in the middle. Tidy with his passing and relentless with his pressing. Brilliant display.

I gave him motm, i thought he ran the game. Fast becoming my favourute player to watch (i always favour middies who can dictate tempo and he is becoming our new metronome i.e. Alonso, Thiago, Hendo.

the way Macca and Szobo tend to one-touch pass the third loose balls to a teammate is so great to watch. they are both excellent at it and it help us massively with quick breaks. I'm not sure if this is some new instructions from the coaching staff but none of our old midfielders (Hendo, Gini, Fab and Millie) were doing that effectively.

Hopefully he's about to get a run in his preferred position now, with Thiago back.

I know he's played pretty much every game as the #6 (barring Sheffield) but I'm still not totally convinced by him there. He'll have games where he's great (Chelsea or Bournemouth) and others where he's being exploited quite noticeably, need to pick and choose which games he'd best suited to different roles now that Endo's back.

Thiago isn't capable of doing what endo does. And he will never be fit anyway.

Mac had a great game last night as he did against Brentford. He's truly settled now and showing what he can do and the 35m looks a snip when he plays like that.

I just couldn't be more impressed with that turn and cross, the calmness.
