      Jun 13, 2023 06:07:43 pm
Next season fixtures are to be published on Thursday morning at 09:00 BST.
So who do we want for our 1st game of next season?

Will the EPL give us an away fixture 1st to allow the ARE to be completed?

Been a while. We had Arsenal in 2016 didn't we? That terrific match where Mane showed that things were going to be a bit different for the years following. What a game.

Can see Luton asking for a couple of games away to start with too as their ground probably needs a lot of work to get it up to PL standard.

Defo wont be Luton, as they have asked to play first 3 games away. The leaks today are total nonsense, the second one had both us and Neverton, playing away on the same weekend, we always play opposite, if were away, there home, police just wont allow it.

August I guess, but don't forget the season finished late due to the World Cup, so we're probably a little confuddled because of that, also it'll take the TV company's a few weeks to rearrange everything to suit them.

Poch first game with the chavs .

Alot of tough away trips early doors including Chelsea City Brighton Newcastle  and Spurs.

You can see what they were going for when they fixed that together.

The club can request that second match be played away if it's looking like the stand won't be ready (it won't) and they'll just swap the home and away. Shouldn't be an issue.

The first one is supposed to be away, which it is. Though I doubt why 1 week extra is needed to finish a relatively small stand that has been under construction for the past 2 years. The first game the old stand got was against Celtic in the Uefa Cup, certainly far more glamorous than Bournemouth at home.

Stupid again that games are all scheduled for Saturday at 15:00, when we know 80-90% of them will be moved. Why can't they just say the weekend when the fixture is scheduled for until it's confirmed, as they do in the Bundesliga. The derby away is scheduled for 15:00 on March 16, when there's no chance of it happening if there's a cup quarter final on. You know in that case, that the game will be postponed and "rescheduled" to the last week of the season, so that Sky can flog the "last ever game" in the attic as their home derby, with their survival on the line again.

Several of our games already have to be moved because of our European commitments, and there hasn't been a game against the mancs at 3pm since 2004. Why would it be the case this year?

Unbelievable that the last game is at home to Wolves again, the third time in 6 seasons. :f_doh: Maybe it will be third time lucky this time.

I can't remember for certain but I think we started with a few away games in PL when the main stand expansion opened, swapped at least 1 from a home game. .
I think a few other clubs have done it as well.

Few games been swapped round for telly rights or cause of the Europa League (I’m guessing)

      Newcastle (a) - Sunday August 27th 16:30 (sky sports)

      Villa (h) - Sunday September 3rd 14:00

      Wolves (a) - Saturday 16th September 12:30 (TNT sports)

      West Ham (h) - Sunday 24th September 14:00

      Spurs (a) - Saturday 30th September 17:30 (sky sports)

The first three were away from home. That stand is enormous. The current one is half the size, if that.

      Wolves (a) - Saturday 16th September 12:30 (TNT sports)

      West Ham (h) - Sunday 24th September 14:00

      Spurs (a) - Saturday 30th September 17:30 (sky sports)

1 game has been moved because of us in Europe, because it has to be, to that mad 2pm Sunday ko time.

You can add the home games against the mancs, the neighbours, Brentford, and Forest to the list, as well as the trip to Brighton. So why are these games listed as Saturday at 15:00?  :f_steam:

I got United (16th December) and arsenal (23rd December) in the ballot. Both currently down as Saturday 3pm KO. They're definitely getting changed aren't they

Can see both being Sunday games. Possibly Arsenal could be a later kick off on the Saturday.

      March fixture changes.

City game on the 10th is scheduled for 15:45 - what kind of F***ing time is that?

Everton game has been moved to Sunday 17th for 2pm but might be moved again depending on the FA Cup.

Brighton on 31st has been moved to 2pm aswell.

Imagine winning the League against those cu*ts, followed by Arsenal relegating them on the final day.

Win the league at Goodison and Everton won't meed to demolish the place, the Evertonians will torch Goodison.
