Great game. Chelsea were brilliant, certainly a team on their way back up now.

      Thanks Bud

I went to bed at 3am after the Liverpool game and 1st 7 legs were up.

Got up and had a look at the scores City game and couldn't believe Raheem, Jackson and Haaland all scored, cursed Phoden, then went to my betting page and saw a stack of cash in there!! Happy Days mate.

Another game that should be about the football but instead we’re talking about a referee who is clearly out of his depth and should be nowhere near Premier League football.

      no end in sight.

If you want to talk about football, nobody is stopping you. As for the ref, he's one of the best in the league imo. It looked like some of the ball was on the line. The alleged push was left to the ref's call, and no offside was detected. There's therefore no reason to disallow the goal.

      Quote from Don77
Time to pack var in. Absolutely disgraceful. A goal made in Saudi Arabia

We only needed 10 men to win at Newcastle. What's their excuse? Oh I see, the usual one. It looks like they won't be challenging for the league either, so.

I hope he gets the same treatment from the FA that Jürgen got for talking about officials last season. Then it'll take him a while to feel better after that. That inflammatory, irresponsible rant is dangerous and makes refs at grass roots level, let alone the EPL, feel even more vulnerable from spectators.

      Quote from HUYTON RED
      Aye, if you like circuses.

It was by no means a game of the season match, just all the freak incidents we get with Var these days.

From what I saw, VAR didn't get any calls wrong. I did see lots of headlines screaming "carnage" because 5 ghost goals were disallowed. Yes, all correctly disallowed and most without VAR intervention. Carnage, what carnage?

5 seasons into VAR, and incredibly millions of people still can't distinguish between what decisions are given by refs on the pitch, and what decisions are given after taking advice from a VAR. It's really not rocket science.

One can dream, but the PL is so spineless City will probably get away with it. Everton’s punishment does bring a glimmer of hope, but they are not the wealthy state that City is.

There will be riots if city don’t get some type of punishment considering the sheer volume of charges!

They will probably drag that out for years, too. I think article said it's already 5 years of investigation? Plus they already had one punishment removed by CAS or whatever it's called when they appealed. They do seem to play by different rules than everyone else.

F*ck off Burnley. 1 up to 1 down in seconds. This is why Everton will stay up. So poor those bottom teams. Hope Luton can hang on
