Exactly. The move for Rice looks absolutely ludicrous but at the end of they day, it is what it is. People thought we were crazy paying 75m or whatever it was for VVD. It was a bargain.

I've not seen a ton of this player but what I have seen is very exciting. Seems like a perfect Klopp player. And if he rates us and we obviously rate him, then get the deal done so we can move on to the next target.

Almost looks more like a winger than a midfielder.

Won't work. Carvalho's are ten a penny ... plenty of players like him around.

As for the other deal ... plenty of clubs happy to just pay in full now or a large upfront payment and the rest in addons so we will lose there as well.

We've not got a pot to p*ss in it seems ... as usual.

I'm sure clubs are interested in our dead weight ... but they will wait till nearer the deadline/start of the season to drive our prices down because the books will need to be balanced.
