Dominik Szoboszlai Player Thread (M)

Dominik Szoboszlai has officially signed for Liverpool and it is confirmed by the club.

He is an attacking midfielder, who used to play for RBL.

Liverpool FC have completed the signing of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Leipzig, subject to a work permit.

The Hungary midfielder becomes the Reds’ second new addition of the summer window after agreeing terms and successfully completing a medical, following in the footsteps of Alexis Mac Allister.

Szoboszlai arrives at Anfield after two-and-a-half years in the Bundesliga with Leipzig, where he made 91 appearances in all competitions.

The 22-year-old told Liverpoolfc.com during his first interview at the AXA Training Centre: “It’s really, really good. I enjoyed the last [few] days and I’m looking forward to knowing everybody better.

“The last three or four days went really long; it was not that easy. But at the end I’m here, I’m happy and I can’t wait to get started.

“[A] really historic club, really good players, good coach, everything is good. For me it was perfect to make the next step in a club like this. The fans, the stadium, everything is really good.”

Not someone who was on my radar but looks like a promising player.  Seems to have pace, passing and finishing.  Hopefully he's got the pressing to go with it. 

Some solid competition now in that midfield although I'm placing them both as 'attacking midfielders'?  Hopefully Bajcetic can fully recover to give Fabinho a push in that number 6 position.

Not seen him play but certainly seems to be a lot of hype around him from what I've read the last few days.

Like that we've targeted someone for that right side of midfield. Elliott didn't nail down that position last season and Hendo needs to be phased out now into the Milner role. Also like the fact he can play a bit further up too and potentially cover at RW when Salah is off to AFCON.
