Has the potential to explode. I just want him to unleash the hammer of a right and not over play when it comes to the crunch. The simple final ball to the correct player on counter attack IE the third goal and when he's in front of goal head down and bury it.

Very good player but he's also a very irritating player, his decision making is letting him down from really becoming a star.

The one at the end there, if that's at 0-0.....is unforgivable. Must make any manager tear his ha........no, we're safe there  :lmao:

I don't  understand the criticism, still only 23 and only had 1 season in the Prem.

Had a very good game and is an excellent player but maybe still needs to work on some decision making. He can be a very important player for the next 8-10 years.

Apart from his daft arse mucking about in box, he played well yesterday, nothing spectacular tho.

Needs to get a bit more selfish and shoot quicker, otherwise thought he was our second best mid yesterday.

I dunno why people are focussing on the chance he had? He takes it’s in his weaker left foot and then tries to manoeuvre it in to his stronger foot. Plenty of players do the same. He’s also not in the most balanced position to strike it with his left as he takes that first touch.

I thought he was terrific yesterday. Carried the ball, broke lines, made lots of unselfish runs beyond our forwards too and worked hard to win the ball back. Keep it up!

I think some people are always looking for someone to criticise and always trying to find negatives in the performance.
Diaz has scored a few goals so we can't complain about him. Trent has been solid in defence so we can't criticise him.
When watching it live it looked like Dom missed a relatively easy chance so let's have a go at him.
As you say, a second viewing of his chance shows that he didn't do much wrong and I think that his general plan was very good.

I saw a few mentions that bar the goals, Diaz was terrible  :lmao:

You can't beat Liverpool fans when it comes to criticising their own.

Not to take this thread off topic though so back to Szobo, we just want to see him reach that potential which is evidently very high and decision makings like yesterday don't help.

Did you miss when he tried to be cocky rather than clinical at 3-0?

sh*te like that is for other clubs but doesn't translate well here.

He didn't hesitate by the way. He wanted to look cool and to take the piss. He had about 3 seconds in the box to score which you never get in the Prem against serious teams.

No big deal as long as it starts to sink in with him that we want to see end product from him and not style over substance.

Happy to debate whether or not he should have done it but anyone who's kicked a ball in a match or just watched enough football knows he was trying to take liberties with that one. Don't need to debate if he was 'just trying to get it out of his feet' or whatever :lmao: the lad was being cocky.

Did he try to be cocky or try to give himself what he thought in that moment a better opportunity

Stop, looking for something that isn’t there, he’s been much better this season his 2nd btw, 1st loaded with injuries and new to the league, get off his back ffs, we got a belting player here, he’ll thrive in Arne’s system, it’s why Elliot can’t get in, but he will !!

What did he do that was cocky? I dunno if i missed it because i saw he had a chance to shoot but then shifted it on to his right foot and then the angle closed up. He is right footed, i'm really not sure what was the big deal? Or was it another incident that i missed? There really isn't any evidence that he being cocky. I thought he had a fine game.

F**k, Arsenal do that numerous times every match.

If we had drawn or lost, yeah would have ben sh*t but were were 3 up, don't understand the crap he's been getting.

Thought he had a really good game.

If he'd hit it first time and it got blocked by the GK or a defender, Tickle would be moaning about a lack of composure....  Best to just leave it.

It was begging to be hit first time, no Utd defender would've been able to get their body in the way.

The one that infuriated me the most was when he led a 2 on 2 break and Nunez was over on the other side, it was a relatively simple ball for him to play first time but he kept on carrying (slowly) and led to 2-3 more Utd bodies getting back.

I was one of them. If you take away his goals he was terrible. But you don't take away the goals so hey, works for me. Until he scored he'd given away the ball several times in a row and wasn't really doing much of anything.

The funny thing is, Dom was the opposite. He was playing a really good game but because he missed a couple chances people think he had a bad game. I'm sure it will all be fine. No issues with people being critical of people's play from game to game. That's what we are here for, praise and criticism and eating crow and patting ourselves on the back.
