His second goal was like the one he nearly got on his Liverpool debut if Jota hadn't swiped the ball off his foot.

Hopefully he's sober on his return. 

He's a very offensive player. I suspect he would have been a very good winger. He can dribble, has good pace and can definitely cross. What a player we've god. The scouting team did a great job.

The clips from the Man City game just show how good he was - real shame that the injury cut him badly

Think these Gerrard comparisons a little premature been under par for 5 or 6 games now and even at the start of the season thought there was exaggerated comments about his performances not seen him go past or carry the ball like I was expecting

Szobo yesterday was worse than any performance I have seen from Jones or Elliot.

Could have played Trent as the No8 with Gomez at RB, admittedly that combo of Endo and Trent is poor defensively but still an option or even Gakpo as the most advanced midfielder.
So plenty of alternatives.

The fan base has shot their load a little early here I feel.

I'll have to admit I went very early on this lad. Started absolutely superbly but has tailed off so badly in the last couple of months.

His off the ball movement was still more than what any other of our attackers offered yesterday but he was still bloody awful.

He needs to understand, when you put that shirt on...especially at Anfield, there is no option other than working hard...working hard first in your mind, then with your feet. He was mentally weak yesterday...hence the lazy passing.

Define working hard ? So if a player doesn’t perform that means he isn’t working hard? Is that what you’re implying?

He worked his socks off, look at this running stats and sprints, surely working hard is pressing, closing down and putting the miles on

What is missing is his form at the moment

Fans need to understand players are not robots, he’s come into a new league and has been thrown in the deep end and has largely impressed. It’s not surprise he is not always at his best during Christmas

He needs support from his team mates but no shock we dropped a level when he went off yesterday

Just a wee blip, came out the blocks like a rocket early season. He will get back to his best.

We need to remember we have an almost completely new MF, we are well ahead in terms of points than we ever thought we would be with the new team.

Also the MF has been chopping and changing a lot as well recently due to injuries and rotation. So the rhythm is not so cool as klopp would say, hence the mixed bag of performances.

Losing Mac Allister has cost us some balance in midfield and it's affecting Szoboszlai more than anyone.

Please Szobo stop F***ing shooting.

His chase downs and tackling ability is fantastic but he's just trying to rip the back of the net out every game.

Comparisons to Stevie may have gone to his head a bit, maybe...just thinking aloud!
