Let them in the Champions League, be great beating those teams in a few years time, a bit like when we play the likes of the Israeli teams.

By the way: Why isn't Messi criticized for moving to a country that makes fun of football? A country completely devoid of football culture, where the sport is somewhere in the 27th most popular?
Why isn't he criticized for moving to a country that has the death penalty and poisons and grills people there? Where their rogue government, with the full backing of the West, is constantly invading, exploiting, blackmailing and bombing other countries into the Stone Age?

A country that massively supports apartheid states that execute journalists on the street, runs concentration camps like Guantanamo and the torture facilities at Abu Ghraib weren't long ago either. Should I continue?

Cos Liverpool broke Messi back in 2019  :lmao:

The circus just moves on. Now the EPL is no longer the end of the food chain, but the league in Saudi Arabia. But the rules remain the same.

Let's see how long it will be before Pep arrives there.

The Saudis have announced they want to have over 100 European players in their league in 12 months; and it's obviously not just the older players.

Do we, as Europeans, have to get upset about this? Of course not, because we've been doing the same thing for decades (with players from South America, Asia and Africa).

Will the Saudi league change world football? For sure! Who says that in three years players like Musiala, Alvarez, Bellingham and Co won't appear there? I think the owners of the PL clubs are really fed up with the fact that the Saudis are doing exactly what the "English" sheikhs have been doing for many years.

When you started I thought you were part of a Pro league PR department, now I just think you are deliberately trying to wind people up.

But at the beginning it was said that only old players go to Saudi Arabia. I say they don't stop until they buy football completely.

And UEFA will give you wildcards. If only because the TV wants to have the stars in the program. There will be no league in the world that can withstand this sheer endless abundance in the long term.

Our modern world doesn't stand a chance against the capital that Saudi Arabia can and obviously wants to pay. And the Saudis will prove that to the world. Because they can.

They’re not trying to buy football as a whole more like the World Cup, for now anyway 😂 I don’t know any young/potential top class player that would want to play in a grab a granny league at present. Didn’t you know Wayne Rooney now on the Saudi list?

The standard will never improve whilst you’re buying OAPs. It’s pretty obvious ( for now ) they want to hold the World Cup and this is merely a strategic move ( a very good one ) in getting it.

I think with this pace they will conquer club football very soon.

Have you already thought about which Saudi club you will support soon? I would lean towards al-Ittihad because of Salah and Fabinho, but the name means "United" in Arabic. I think I have to look for something else.

Edit: By the way, al-Hilal means "crescent" and al-Nassr "the victory". What would suit a Liverpool best?

Not to forget al-Ahli: community/the team.

      What do you all mean?

Why the F**k would we support a Saudi club 🛎️ end

And because they want the Football World Cup, they had to take over golf, Formula 1, various motor and competitive sports, boxing, as well as cricket and maybe soon basketball? All because of a Football World Cup? Do you really believe that?

Why this effort? Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the World Cup? Like some have done before?

It always makes me smile when I hear how supposed experts keep repeating this nonsense. :lmao: :lmao:

      Amateur mode on fifa.

Absolutely mental viewing and I know that's not the pro league but their version of the champions league.

You don't know anything because it was a charity match (was in Brazil?). Also, the ACL hasn't even started.  :lmao: :lmao:

But you have to be really mentally retarded to believe that football is actually played like that in Asia.

Yes it is played like that cus it's nothing but amateur garbage hyped up with a few quality players taking the piss.

F***ing joke league Fabinho and Hendo must be pissing themselves paid millions to play amateur league footy.

Does Mo really want to retire from pro footy at only 31 just for extra money can he not leave it a couple of years at least before he puts on the flip flops?

That's not how football is played in the MLS.

I can't judge the ACL, I've never followed it either, unlike the SPL. And I can say that the Saudis are technically very strong. They are very nimble, fast, physically strong, biting and play physical. A lot still needs to be done tactically. But with the necessary specialists, I am sure that they will continue to develop there as well.

The SPL is already a very strong league. Take a look at the squads of the top 4 (post 109)! And let's be honest: 2 months ago almost everyone here was still a world-class player.
Although many of the small clubs already have well-known players who used to play in the top European leagues.

Officially only 4 clubs belong to the PIF, but I believe that the others will also be massively upgraded.
See Gerrard and Henderson's Ettifaq. What normal clubs can afford such salaries? Henderson would be the top earner in Europe after Mbappe.

I think after 2-3 transfer windows the density of the league will far exceed that of the EPL.

Also sporty everything done right! You should only look at the squad + coaches with whom he will play in the future. The sporting challenge would also be higher than in Napoli, for example. It's easier to become champions with Napoli than to win the title in Saudi Arabia with al-Ahli. Again, I recommend taking a look at the competition. Instead of playing UCL next season, he is going to a newly promoted Saudi. lmao. Are the days of top football in Europe numbered?

      "Salah wants to leave Liverpool!"

I would have been surprised if he didn't want to. He will be accepted there and live like an emperor. They'll take better care of him there than any diplomat that's ever been there. He becomes a billionaire and receives shares from Ittihad. What is Liverpool? Maybe he can end up buying it himself!

I'd rather sh*t in my hands and clap than waste a second watching the Saudi league.

You should better educate yourself. Then maybe you would also know who Awad al-Qarni, Salman al-Odeh, Ali al-Omari and Safar al-Hawali are and how much mischief they caused with their knowledge in the Middle East. Find out what "Takfiris" are and what extremist ideology they represent.

Ah so that means it’s justified them being sent to death because they have caused “mischief

Not that massively into their footy are they? Ronaldo and Manes' team play in a 60,000 stadium currently averaging 20,000.
Average attendance across the Saudi Pro League currently stands at 9,281.

      Here's what crown prince Mohammed bin Salman thinks about sportswashing;

"If sportswashing is going to increase my GDP by 1%, then we'll continue doing sportswashing," Bin Salman said.

"I don't care [about the term]. I have 1% growth in GDP from sport and I am aiming for another 1.5%.

"Call it what you want - we are going to get that 1.5%."
