Caicedio looks like a very good player, best on the pitch in first half.  ;D

      Quality goal from Santos.

Sadly, she's already been signed by Real Madrid.

She's 18, was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer  aged 15, had months of chemotherapy and has now been able to play in 3 world cups in a couple of years, under 17, under 20 and now senior tournament.

      Stupid red from James.

Without VAR, she would have got a yellow. Definitely would have in the WSL, because in that league you're still allowed to get away with violent conduct. Can't con a camera at the WC though.

There's not much to say about the quality of the football itself, because frankly, most of it is not even Legends standard, but the best thing about the tournament imo is how the refs have communicated VAR decisions, many of them in the refs second or even third language. They've all taken to it like ducks to water. Looking forward to it's implementation in the EPL, albeit we'll probably have to wait another season for it to happen.

2-1 Spain... straight away! Dreadful defending from a corner and goalie was poor.

I really hope so, I'm not an Eng-er-lander at all, but for the women to be Euro & World champions would really be fantastic, and a wonderful achievement.

I actually think Wiegman is a better coach than Southgate.

Oh YES !!!! Didn't we just do that, what a tremendous result by our wonderful girls and what a refreshing change to watch a football game without all the hullabullo of throwing yourself all over the pitch like the men do 'pretending' to be hurt/injured, these girls just get on with it and don't make a fuss.
The fella's could learn a lot from them.

Exceptional performance from the Lionesses and whatever happens in the final, they can be so proud of themselves.

But I'm sure they'll beat Spain in the final.....go girls !!!

Told you we'd beat ya Aussie
