F.A. Cup 2023-24

It's that time if year again, tonight was the 1st preliminary round of the F.A. Cup.

Let's hope it's a good year for us when we start in January.

First round proper started yesterday with a couple of fairytale stories, though not the happy endings that they would have been looking for.

Sheppey Utd unfortunately took a 4-1 pasting to Walsall. But Horsham managed a very credible three all draw with Barnsley at Oakwell and can now look forward to hosting the Tykes in a week or so for the replay.

A whole host of other games today and tomorrow.

City get Huddersfield at home, sick to death of their easy draws time and time again.

Tough Draw but holds no fears.       See both the Manc teams get there customary "Tough" draws. Ffs.

No reason we can't go really strong for it though no games for 2 weeks after this one ,Mo's last game maybe if Egypt allow doesn't play his first game until 14th

Actually not fussed win lose or draw at weekend.

Hopefully its a good game to watch, and for us just use the squad, main objective no more injuries.

I'm not fussed about the FA Cup...apart from when we're still in it....and if your in it...might as well try and win it.

l o l  indeed, further we go into any comp it becomes more important.

But being in semi of league cup, last 16 of Europa, top of league, id say this is bottom of pecking order right now.

Being a knockout tournament you can't go further (to the important stage) unless you win at the (less important?) stage. It might be at the bottom of the pecking order....but it's a very short pecking order and we should be trying to win it.
