Has to be a rotation player right ? No way we are signing a 30 years old guy as our main DM, that doesn't make F***ing sense.

He's 30 years old not 50.

He's a signing you expect to start straight away with his experience and be the main guy while a younger player rotates in and out.

Looks like the guy we can build our midfield around for years to come. Honed his skills at rushden and urawa diamonds before settling at Saint Trudi  of the Belgian Jupiler league. He was soon elevated to Stuttgart of 16th place bundesliga fame where according to Wikipedia he has scored 100 goals in 99 games. Not bad. Also the oldest footballer in the world is Japanese so clearly something to be said for their footballers. What's not to like.

Have to say haven't heard about him and didn't pay too much attention to Japan in lasts WC but from what I read seems to be a good player.

Hope he's one of those gems we have found in the past.
