What’s that got anything to do with his ability as a DM?

When you can analyse a game and player without your Liverpool kit on maybe we can discuss what he actually brings to the team.

I do. For me those stats and what he does and for the transfer fee, it’s good enough.

For others, maybe his stats are not good enough or maybe his transfer fee wasn’t marquee enough. Maybe some were expecting him to tame more players into submission and for the whole match. Maybe some wouldn’t allow mistakes by any player.

Some users who were long banned, were never happy. Fluke goal securing three points, those quality of points were never good enough. Fluke points. Win by three goals, the goal we conceded or a bad pass, we’re still not good enough. Each fan has a bar. Some are so high that they think City’s bar is THE bar and we are way below that. The fans will never be happy no matter how we perform, simply because we are not perfect.

Great stats. Thought he looked a good signing on paper, but he's been even better than I thought. Some contrast between him and Fabinho pottering about our midfield last season like Don Corleone in his garden.

I was a little bit concerned as I was intrigued to see how Endo would really perform against a world class side. I've had it in my mind that Endo is our man for mid table fodder...but not today. He was superb. My MOTM. I thought he was faultless. What an absolute steal and a gem this player has turned out to be.

When he arrived Jürgen greeted him and basically said this is an attacking side get yourself fit. We need your legs and we need your body.

It’s like we’ve got Kuyt transformed into a DM, he’s a terrier and doesn’t give the opposition a minutes peace from minute 1 to 90.

Will never get the credit he deserves but is so important.

I don’t think we’ve lost a game where Endo has started. Mac and Endo together is a superb partnership and I fully expect this double act to continue into next season.
