Storm in a tea cup all that. 17 years old and 3 weeks off 18 is fine for a 21 year old surely? Did see something about a bird on a podcast saying a Liverpool player had asked for her to be in a gang bang and pretty much narrowed it down to Jarell.

      Knuckle down lad!!

Dont know anything about any of that. But bottom line is that if he gets involved in any of that crap off the field he will go the same way as otsemobor and flanaghan etc.

A new contract comes with trust and responsibility. Kid hasnt done anything yet. Senior players need to make sure the younger ones stay rooted to the floor.

Which is legal age of consent by about 100 weeks.

Most of our F***ing parents met around that age. My dad's 3 years older than my mum and met when she was 17 and my dad 20.

40 years and 3 kids later it's not worked out too bad.

As for on the pitch. Jarell is really struggling. On Jaros' finger tip save he was very close to an own goal too.

Being subbed with injury time to go will really have hurt and while the game was crying out for it, I think in the bigger picture Konate should have come on to go into a back 5 rather than at Quansahs expense.

Tough season for him and he's the next cab off the rank behind Virg and Ibou and as such we will need him.

I also thought Slot made a mistake in subbing him. I don't think it would have hurt us to keep him out, let him see it out and maybe take some confidence by having the boss show trust in you. Instead he takes him off to make a point (I guess?) and who knows how that will affect him. We really need him to develop so I'm not sure that's the best tact to take, but I'm not getting paid millions so what do I know.

Maybe he should knuckle down and concentrate on his game instead of spending his time scouting Instagram for sex. That way, we might not see the brain dead football he conjured up for their first goal.

He's young but he's an adult and he's in a privileged position of playing for and representing a major club on the global stage.

Slot was right in subbing him if anything to make an example of him. Absolutely no tolerance.

I think being subbed off in the first half of the first game of the season is still in the lads head..

      Confidence taken a knock…

Felt a bit sorry for him getting subbed but think Arne recognises our tendency to get a bit complacent defensively over the last 2 or 3 years and has decided to be pretty ruthless about it. Fair enough.

Also depends a lot on the player. Quansah doesn't seem short on confidence so maybe Arne thinks he can take it, and maybe even needs it to stop getting cocky.

Our defending this season's been better than since we won the title, so what he's doing seems to be working.

A true measure of anyone is in their ability to overcome setbacks. If he is so mentally fragile that being substituted will irredeemably restrict his development, then maybe he's not cut out for a career at an elite football club. It's not an opinion I share...I think he'll understand the situation  and buckle down and work hard on his game....Errors are part of the game, especially for those with the least experience.

Must’ve watched a different game to everyone else, I thought he and Gomez were pretty good for 80mins, unless people are just expanding on the mistake and using it to overshadow the rest of his game, which I suppose is easy to be caught up in.

We’ve seen last season when he featured more prominently how useful and effective he was (same goes for Endo, Bradley etc who haven’t quite reached the performance levels from last season), the lack of game time is any players worst nightmare, especially a young player looking to develop and make the next step.

Eh? What's the correlation in your first sentence? What an unpleasant, judgemental post.

It's generally not the done thing to scour social media looking for young women and asking if they are of the age of consent.

Can't believe I had to explain that.

Well ensuring a young girl is of the age of consent would appear to be the smart move surely 🤷‍♂️

"Not the done thing." Thanks for the "explanation"

I'm not on Twitter, Facebook, Insta etc, so I have no idea of the tone Quansah has or what he projects.

I could see the point if it was Hinge, Bumble where age verification occurs before you sign up etc but this was Snapchat.

Na, I was like get him the F**k off even before he played that pass to no one.

Said it to my mate, (we text during game)...2- 0 get Konate on, Quansha looking a bit shaky and Ibou defends that side better.

Then the F**k up, then the next pass he played he turned it over and I was yelling out, get him TF off now!!!

Then of course the OG and I knew he and we were unlucky, but F**k me, if Slot had heard me yelling out 25 mins earlier, we wouldn't have been in the position we found ourselves in at the end.  ;)
