Because young players improve clearly 🤷‍♂️

Well yes, clearly......but we're discussing how fast he is, does a young player get faster with age?

He's really not - he's lumbersome, especially in the first 5 yards, a 6ft6 lump who moves like Crouch at USG blitz him for pace when we lost there, Virg manages to beat the likes of Adama for pace and still looks insanely fast after an ACL.

1:08 in, that's not a "very fast" CB.

I don't believe Quansah is quick either. I don't know if it's me but I feel he's slow at turning, changing direction as well. A couple of times where he's looked like a cross channel ferry. I'd be surprised if he was ever good enough for the first eleven.

      Sure.

Wonder why the likes of Carra and Sami never bothered.

He came on for the last 15mins + ET, he'd have been tested and exposed had he started.....for example the Newcastle away game, feel free to watch it back.

Carragher and Hypia never bothered to do what ?

He is a young lad still early in his career -

Is there any players you don’t want to rip apart

You appear to just revel in negativity

Must be heartbreaking for you when we do well

No way he should. He's slow. He sucks. He can't defend. Watch what happens to him on international break.  :f_tongueincheek:

This lad has been horribly mismanaged by Slot this season so his performance on Tuesday is a testament to him and his ability.

I hope he goes on to have a brilliant game on Sunday as well.

Slot has been brilliant this season, but he isn't without mistakes. Like you said, Elliott and Quansah have been mismanaged. They both so impressive to be two bit players all season but keep a great attitude and then get thrust into big games and perform. I hope he crushes it Sunday

Because they never had any speed anyway
      .

I remember Carra getting subbed against Southampton under Houllier and getting booed off because of his sh*t performance  at right back efusing to go forward.

      They haven't been mismanaged.

Slot's got different ways of doing things than Klopp and both Quansah and Harvey gave had to adapt ro

Absolutely true. I think Slot expects higher and better levels from Elliott and Quansah than Jürgen arguably. The reality is both haven't shown it enough. Notion of Slot 'mismanaging' when he has elevated the levels of almost all players this season compared to last is just needlessly trying to find a reason to nit pick the boss.

Right or wrong but Jarell was always going to have a part to play this season. will need him to show up tomorrow if we want to win the cup.

Come on Frank. No way he's gotten everything right. I'm sure he'd even say it. Shoot, just the other day he said he made a mistake by not starting Elliot in the last prem game and if he could take it back, he would. I hope I'm not coming across as nit picking, but when i say mismanage from my arm chair, it provide looks so 😆

Slots been a revelation, and I love the changes. Do I think he could utilize some of the lads like Harv and Quan better? Sure, but im a self proclaimed dumbass with more mouth than sense, soo

You could argue he's been well managed and the tough love he got early in the season made he realise the standards he needs to get to in order to be a regular at the club.

Don’t you think the lad knows what it takes to make it at the club, he worked under Klopp & was fantastic for us..

Sadly, he just doesn't scream 'elite player' now or in the making... I actually don't think he's Premier League level at all, just lucky enough to be playing in a Liverpool team with the EPL's greatest defender.

      Looks terrified at all times.

Played out of position, not really his fault but certainly think right now he’s a backup CB at best. But surely he can still improve.

Even at CB... for such a big lad he isn't intimidating at all, he looks like a mouse could make him jump out of his skin... I think he's Championship level at best.

I think the argument could be made that right now you may be right, I’m saying I think the kid could still turn out good for us. Let him bulk up and learn from Virg and see where he’s at. He’s had to play in a whole lot of important games it seems like with Konate’s injury record and Gomez’.

At 22 years of age, you can tell whether you have it or or you don't.

      Quansah doesn't.

The truth is he looked like a squad player playing out of position.....and even then I don't think he did terribly, none more so than anyone else on that pitch anyway.
