Never concerns me when I see this lad in the team. He's coming on so quickly in his first season .... Big things ahead. He looks a natural.

Literally looks like Virgil 2.0… I feel no stress when he’s defending.

I absolutely love seeing his name on the team sheet....
I said it in pre-season, he oozes calm & class on the ball in the way Virgil does....
Jarell is going to save the club tens of millions...

I know its early days, but every time I watch him, knowing he's very young, I see a defender who is going to be a cut or two above most center halves in the league.

He's so calm for his age, quick, strong, good in the air, anticipates very well, knows when to press the forward and when to simply escort him to the angle he wants him at.

Another thing he does for us is that he gives us the possibility to keep Konate injury free. The lad prone to muscle injuries and so his minutes need to be managed. When rotation was made with Matip it was just a question of time before he got injured and you ended needing Konate for a long stretch of games. Quansah is offering such competent defending that you can pick and choose the important games you want to have Konate in there.

Yeh it has got to the stage where when I see him on the team sheet it puts a huge smile on my face.  He has just taken the position and responsibility with both hands can't remember the last one to do that without being used as full back.   He just looks so comfortable its amazing.

He is so calm for his age. He is saving us so much money.

I would invest the money saved in a quality RB and move Trent into midfield permanently. I would start with two holding midfielders:  Trent and Mac Allister or Endo with Dominik or Jones in front of them roaming around.

I'm of the same opinion. We're losing out on a lot of TAA's quality by playing him as a right-back. The lad is closer to a box to box midfielder (some would argue a CAM) than he is to a Right-back. Giving him a role where he can roam the midfield freely, especially those areas around the box, without needing to bring as much defensively as he is expected to do as a RB would help both him and the team.

Simple. Buy a quality right back. Imagine how much better that would make us.

Trent is made for midfield. He's made for that no8.

My mate is a Bolton fan and was a huge fan of Connor Bradley. Although he said he was used as an attacking right back for them but when he came on he seemed to actually deal with Martinelli where earlier Trent was beaten by him twice. That freed Trent to go into midfield and he had a big hand in us hurting them for the goals.

I wonder if its worth having Connor as an option if we want to switch Trent into the middle longer term or if indeed we would need to hit the market.

Hes got everything but he's young and he will make mistakes. He already has in fact.

He can have a part to play but I can't help feeling if we are to win the title this year we need Konate and Virg to play as often as possible.

Still being in 3 cups there's plenty of games for Jarrell to get stuck into.

He is an impressive young lad.

I don’t think it’s an issue myself, he’ll be easier to press and mark if he plays as an out an out midfielder. When he goes infield and takes up midfield positions he creates overloads in there and is not so easy to blanket with a defender.

Klopp on Quansah - "We got asked a lot about signing a new centre-half and we were obviously thinking about that as well, it's not that we ignore potential issues. But when we saw him, it was clear that we will not go for it, that we had our own solution."

Imagine the confidence he will take from hearing that. Hopefully he continues his progression, as his potential is enormous.....

Just carrying on from Diego's point in the match thread.

      He's ready.

Takes Matip's place in the squad next season and then we buy another CB and that's a great four we could have.

What a season he's having. Remarkable job by the youth development team and Jürgen to have successfully brought this guy forward and into probably the most difficult position on the field. The likes of Quansah, Bradley, Clark, Danns show what we expect of the new manager in future to do. Keep this conveyor belt of talent coming through.

Quansah has now played the second most minutes in a single season for an academy player under JK. Only TAA has more.....

Crazy he's logged more minutes before April than Jones has ever gotten

He has done well for the most part. Always ups and downs with young players. But injury wise he has been clear all season as far as im aware.

Not sure if he'll ever be a regular for us but an injury free Quansah is a very good option for us. Either way he'll go on to have a better career than most our academy graduates.

I think you are being very pessimistic saying he's maybe only going to be a squad player? He's 21, played half a season in league 2 and almost a full season in prem. His development has been phenomenal, in  a position where players usually don't reach their peak until mid to late 20s.

This lad can have a very good career with us. We need 4 top quality CBs, more if we switch to 3-4-3 with a new manager and Jarell can have many years as a starting 11 player. Konate may be better right now but he's got a few more years experience and unfortunately has a bad injury record.

I think you're wrong sir. I think this kid may have saved us 60 mil. No major drop off from him and Konate this year.
