On the same page mate just like most of us, unless you live across the water that is.
I’d happily go back to the old way, sadly that won’t be happening. Social media, snowflakes and a topic that would probably get me in trouble if I went into detail
You're right about something, congratulations. We won't be returning to the old ways, and I'm very happy about that. Too many results have been affected in my life by refs only having one look at making a big decision, and invariably getting it wrong.
Jürgen said that he couldn't celebrate goals 4 years ago, and now it's dragged up again. From 4 years ago. He said it after Fabinho scored against City, because there was an appeal for a penalty down the far end, which Tierney as VAR dismissed. Since then, he's celebrated many many goals before the VAR review. Last year, he pulled his hamstring before a check began, let alone completed.
We know Trent could have gone for 2 yellows, but I wasn't worried. Refs rarely if ever, give out 2 yellows in a couple of minutes. I can't remember anyone doing it since Philip Don sent off Steve in the derby. And that wasn't recently. You usually get a final warning after getting a yellow. When Trent was thrown in at the deep end when given the armband after VVD had to walk, he had to not only keep his own discipline, but steady the ship around him. The fact he did so successfully meant I gave him motm. Very impressive for a first league game as captain.
And for those who tell us that pre season doesn't matter, well one of the benefits of pre season is how Darwin found his scoring boots again. He needed the confidence to score the first goal, the second was the result of the boost in confidence.
If a Danish drink could do last minute winners against Newcastle, then as regards us, they would probably be the most reliable last minute winners in the world.
