Gomez was decent against Newcastle and I’m hoping he can have a very good season. We can’t rely on vvd to be the rock he once was.

Our 2 starting centre halves out against a team on the up. I'll be astounded if we keep a clean sheet we will need to get a few goals I'd suggest if we want the 3 points.

Hate playing Villa, never feel confident, being at home though and hopefully Darwin starting I can see us causing them issues, still can’t see a clean sheet for us though… a tough 2-1 again I think.

Would be tempted to play Gakpo just in front of the midfield in place of Diaz and throw both Salah and Nunez up front but he didn’t offer anything of note and Diaz just had that electricity to him… hopefully Trent’s head is in this one too.

It's nice that we have 5 very good attackers to choose from, and will be great when we can compliment that with a selection headache in midfield once Thiago is fit and Gravenberch settled.  We still look fragile at CB, but overall I think we've done well with our business and we should be in line for a decent season. 

Hoping to see Nunez start and pick up where he left off at Newcastle.  Any win will do.  Just need to get into that winning habit and build some confidence.

Interesting to see if Klopp reverts to the double pivot with Mac/Dom or stick with three man middle with Endoh. I am thinking with Gomez/Matip playing CB might want extra protection for them with Endoh. Think Gapko will be on the bench with Jota or Nunez in the middle.

Gravenberch can't play. So instead of him, I would would put Endo and then replace him for Bajectic around the 65th minute.

Might take the view that Nunez is best away from home. Pace on the counter attack. Finding a place for Jota and Nunez is a problem but Jota did well out wide once or twice V Newcastle. Jota V Nunez.

Salah Jota Diaz would've been the shout V Villa but Nunez has forced his way into very serious contention with his brace.

Gakpo should be on the bench because he lost some spark. For me, Nunez should play from the start for this one.

Matty cash doing ok at wing back so need Robbo to keep him penned back and give him something to worry about pushing up

Toss up between Jota or Nunez up top. Both in good form. Both can make big impacts off the bench second half.

think Darwin will blow a fuse if he doesnt start he simply has to start. Luis on the Left Mo on the right Darwin in the middle that is a frightening fast counter attack. Think we are really going to do these and put them in their box.

Think everyone is thinking the same and that Nunez will be in from the start, however I’m not so sure he will be, he deserves to be definitely but does Jürgen see it  the same way?

He’ll obviously make the ultimate decision of course but don’t be surprised if he plays the same starting X1 V Toon, I won’t be,

I just got a feeling Klopp will hold him back again and play Diaz, Gakpo, & Mo, with Macca & Szloboslai in behind, Endo DM, Matip & Gomez in as CB’s with Trent & Robbo attacking the flanks, and the best keeper in the world in between the sticks,

I could be entirely wrong but I don’t think Jürgen will change it too much if at all, yes Darwin’s face will probably trip him but he has to respect Jürgen’s decision and get over it, his time will come, long hard season and all that!!

Be interesting to see how the CBs get on, Gomez was really good vs Barcodes so hopefully can continue that form. Looking at that lineup seems a bit nuts to let Philips go on loan.
TAA will be targeted so needs to concentrate when defending.
Thought the Newcastle game passed Endo by, so would consider Elliot as starter, though Jürgen could go with Gapko there again. Like Gapko, but needs to impact games more.
Would give Nunez a start, tough on Jota - but we have 5 good options up front right now which is great.  And Nunez basically got us three points last week with a couple of crackers, v hard to ignore that.

Villa seem to be one of those teams who know how to cause us problems at the back.
But we have firepower up front.
We're coming in off a high and if we can be reasonably solid, have enough threat to get the 3 points.

If we want Darwin to eventually replace Mo's goals he has to start games and show us he can be who we think he can be.
The whole team should be frothing at the mouth for tomorrows game after last Sundays antic.
When we start again after the f***in international freak show we will be playing twice a week so everyone should be playing on a regualr basis but the league is everything this year and I believe we can do it and will do it because of the goals we will score

Gone for a 3  0 win for the Reds against Aston Villa today, despite our leaky defence, which tends to gift soft goals to the opposition. Hope we keep a clean sheet today and score a few goals.

Yes that's my choice as well. Nunez has to start. Could be Klopp now sees him as more of an impact sub and that wouldn't be a bad ploy but it could sour Nunez.

Another big plus this season is Elliott. Looks much stronger and obviously fitter. Has looked lively when he gets a chance. Didn't quite get a settled run and wasn't convincing enough last season but he's starting to mature. Could be the season that makes him a serious player to be reckoned with.

Mac as a 6 I bet, can’t wait for this. I reckon Nunez gets the nod.
