Why doesn't Bajcetic get a chance to give Grav a rest ,or even Tyler Morton, Mconnell ,all  good players who don't mind the physical stuff , I like our midfielders but they have so much work to do because of a weak front line regards holding the ball up.

Always will be with these owners..

When did the owners start to be the ones picking the players

“These owners” have been a part of turning this club around to be on the verge of winning another league title

No question recruitment is a perennial issue under the current ownership. We are invariably short, some seasons even more so than others.

We lack a defensive midfielder, an athletic one at that. This issue has always been there but it's just shown itself up more in certain games, the last 2 weeks especially against really athletic sides. Having 4 midfielders for 3 spots we have been thin there all season, and only 1 of the 4 is a real athlete in Dom.

Zubimendi would have helped us in terms of making it 5 midfielders for 3 spots, a much healthier situation in not having to flog Grav all season. However, barring the freshness factor of having more depth with 5 midfielders I'm not convinced he would have made much difference to us in games against the like of PSG and Newcastle. They have athletes in their side, Zubimendi is not that. He is not a powerhouse like Rodri. Think we would still have been overrun. Grav and co. were overrun at Newcastle in December and we cannot use "being goosed" as an excuse there.

PSG were too fast for us, too athletic, too much energy and running power. We lack those players not just in midfield (bar Dom) but up front (especially with a lightweight in jota). Mo no longer has running power, but he has world class technqiue and vision (27 goals and 17 assists attest to that) so you make an exception for him and ensure he has the runners around him.

We do need to have 5 starting options in midfield, and the next one we bring in must be an athletic monster as Dom cannot be the sole provider in midfield of that.

They are the ones not giving Slot the players he wants..

Bought a goalie and sent him out on loan ..

The one that stayed at the club he was at and would only be third keeper at the club had he came to Kirkby this season. How many has he conceded for Valencia this season. He'll only be back up to Ali next season.

You means asking people about someone's faith or religion is serious inappropriate?

If so I would apologize here. But for me and people around here I don't think that would be any offend.

Seems like was carrying an injury from the weekend

Hopefully it’s the first of a few “Ferguson withdrawals”

Great news. The last thing he needed after the hellacious season he's had thus far is 2 pointless back to back games in a competition that's only purpose is to serve the UEFA greed.

Gakpo should also be nowhere near that side given he's only just come back and still not looked right.

Need more of this. Anyone else nursing an injury or a niggle should do the same.

This lad more than most in our squad needs some rest.

It's good he has been sent back, but not good he has a knock. Honestly, I think Slot has overplayed him. His effectiveness has diminished as the season has worn on and now when I watch games I always feel like we need a genuine 6. I didn't feel like that for the first 3-4 months of the season.

It's no coincidence that losing to Madrid and Newcastle late in the season happened when Szoboszlai and Gravenberch begun to look leggy.
They've been Slot's go to players to run the midfield, along with Macca.

Gravenberch (3,516 minutes) is only behind Salah (3,696 minutes) and Virgil (3717 minutes) in minutes played this season.
That's a big jump from last season.

      Jones - 1,895 minutes
      Endo - 742 minutes
      Elliott - 583 minutes

No surprise that the main lads in midfield are dropping off slightly.
