A win here, any kind of win at all, would be a good achievement given the disruption of the international break, injuries, the suspension of Virg and Tierney on VAR. Circumstance seems to have conspired to leave us with quite possibly the same CB pairing as last season (if anyone remembers that shitshow). Make amends please!

Failure to go get a Cb in the window looks like a potential problem going into this one with VVD, Konate and Trent all potentially out.

Not as a starting formation, but it now ends up as a 3 when trent moves into MF.

Formations are pretty fluid anyway.

Im just wondering for this game with certain players out, he may start with a 3. probably not though.

I liked Gomez on the left of matip last week too, shame to put him back at LB.

Cant wait for this these International breaks are just painful to endure. The lads looked like they were just starting to click last match made Villa look very ordinary. Joel and Joe are fine for me Robbo and Kostas if needs be up front is a different matter after Mo it could be anyone and if Darwin is tired or injured he wont risk him.
