We Are Top Of The League

I think the question needs to be asked if fans are getting complacent as well imo

This best in Europe talk has gone to peoples head in thinking we can win with anyone in the team when nothing has been won just yet! Even think we need no players ever it seems

I actually think it's the fans of other teams that have had most of that talk recently... thankfully on here and in my real life most have had a sensible head on their shoulders and everyone I know HATED that we were being predicted to thrash United... it's never that easy, but like I said it's other teams fans that seem to be over exaggerating us for some reason... I'm used to them shitting on everything we do. 

Next couple of weeks will be key and will help us learn a lot about the team

There is lots of distractions at the moment which hasn’t really affected the team

When we lost to Forest Slot used that as a leaning experience about whah players to play after an international break

The drop points and lack of intensity yesterday will once again be used as a leaning experience

The two cup games can be used to rebuild a bit confidence for some and fitness for others

Can also be used to get some minutes into the legs of Chiesa, Elliot and Quansah


I also wouldn’t be surprised if a player did arrive in the transfer window - a Zubimendi type , would certainly speak to Barce about Olma

If the players play to form and stay fit then we will be very hard to stop

What’s players the squad “needs” will be down the manager

But as with Edwards in the past -if there is a player that they can bring in that will help them and will add something they will do it

They did it with Diaz , and with Gakpo

They will have their eyes set on players

There is no need to be panicking and if someone doesn’t arrive then it’s not the end of the world

Right now, us but that doesn’t matter as what matters is the end. We can’t rely on now midfield injuries imo

Remember, we have Salah having a wonder season too and not improving is staying still or going backwards in elite sport.

Having 4 midfield players used for the vast majority in 3 roles is also asking for trouble. The manager showed he wanted a midfield player in the summer and it’s obvious why looking at things. He didn’t rate endo

Well yesterday we were no better than Man U.....I'd say Ourselves, Arsenal, City and maybe Chelsea are much of a muchness.

A lot of the noise ahead of yesterdays game was how many goals would Liverpool win by. It was cocky and arrogant,

B y brain dead pricks who have been supporting us for five minutes.

Most would have memories of last seasons 0-0 fresh in their minds directly after the 7-0 win when there were shouts about winning by double figures. Yep we felt cocky (as we F***ing should) going into yesterdays game, they've done exactly the same in the past when we've pulled off a draw from a game they should of won (in their hey day)

We're still in a very good position, the chasing pack would all love to be us right now.

Health wise very crucial too, every player now back. Must keep this going as long as we can.

Performance wise we haven't been anywhere near our best in a lot of our games, yet we rarely look like losing a game.

I'm thinking 85-90 wins it. We've got some tough away fixtures to come and a lot of teams are dropping points.

Forest away, Brentford away, Bournemouth away in our next 4 PL games I believe. What odds on us winning all 3?

The Forest game is a big one. They are a hard team to play against and will be well up for it. Players will need to pull their socks up to get a result.

I know it's a different competition but watching Arsenal tonight it's pretty clear that they aren't going to go on some mad winning run like City have done in recent years.

They have a thin squad and very little strength in depth

Arteta have flogged to death players like Saka and Odegaard playing them in every single game

Arsenal drew a blank V Newcastle. Took Howe over 3 years to put together a decent team. Favourites now to get to the final and I'd like to play them in the final.

But Arsenal look limited. Be scratching around in this window. Confident we can see them off.

And i think they're our biggest rivals. Just stay close to what we did in the first half and it should be comfortable. Replicating our firat 19 games is easier said than done, though

Arsenal would've thought the same thing watching us v Utd. Difference is we still have a significant points advantage and experienced winners in our ranks. Take Mo or Virg out of the equation and we'd be back in the pack.

No I don't think it'll take that many. I don't even think it'll 90 in fairness.

If the first half of the season is the measuring stick, Arsenal will struggle to reach 80 points come May. But, of course, they could always turn a couple of those draws into wins in the second half and mount 85+ points. And if we can reach 13 wins from the second half of the season (one less than we got in the first half) I think we'll win the League. That alone would take us to 85 points and out of the other 6, we'll pick up a couple of draws at the very least.

But if we reach 95, we are guaranteed the League title. That number, obviously, becomes lower the more points dropped by Forest and Arsenal.

Anything mid 80s will take the title. We need to stop the draws and turn them into wins.
