We Are Top Of The League

So we have a 6 point lead and a game in hand.
We also have a tough run of games coming up. Through that run, we may drop points, but our closest rivals will have similarly tough runs of matches at some time as well.
Chelsea, arse, city, villa, spurs, have all had blips, and we are having one now.
We just have to get through it and maintain our lead.
I’m sure we will, as long as the rotation is used wisely and the regulars don’t become fatigued before the end of the season.
That bit is down to Arne !

Youre right Don. our football (usually) out plays 95% of teams, maybe more. But when it gets physical at close quarters, we seem to come out second best. When sides get tight and rough it up a bit, we've gotta learn to match that first. Then the quality of the footy will prevail.

I think Forest are massively punching above their weight as evidenced by the degree to which we dominated after we equalised. They had no real answer. Arsenal are still the team most likely to pose a threat. Be nice if we could tighten up and get back to cean sheets and simple 1 or 2-0 wins.

Nice seeing 115 and Those Chav cu*ts not gain any ground on us.

Arsenal win and win well tonight against a quite pathetic Spurs side. I think we are about to come under some serious pressure in the league despite some on here being blissfilly ignorrant to whats about to come.

Spurs goalkeeper who we somehow made look good will get shown up later. Artetas set piece coach will be licking his lips.

The last few years when City has won the league, this is about the time they'd start a new run of winning. If we can do that, it's obviously ours. If not and we continue to be up and down (if you can call draws and wins up and down) it may stay interesting for awhile but I feel like we still should win this thing reasonably comfortably.

I can't even bring myself to think about what it would look like for us to completely succumb and lose out at this point. That would be a monumental (unprecedented?) collapse.

Im just so glad, even after a not so great first half, we showed that we've got our mojo back. We may not have scored the winner, but jeeezzzz... Didn't we play well and put them under so much pressure. And them supposedly the in form team.  They hardly got out of their half and their fans celebrating the draw like they'd won the CL Final. They knew they'd been un mercilessly battered, and so did everyone else.

Great second half performance for us to move forward.  just need to get it going in the first half of games as well now. Looks like our little blip may be at an end. 

Chelsea and City are no threat in my opinion at this point.  Forest had their chance yesterday to get in the race , I think they'll fade.

Arsenal are the only possible team that can catch us, and Saka is still out for another month at least, Jesus i believe is out for the season.

Plus even if by some miracle , if its still tight in May . Arsenal come to Anfield in like the 3rd last game of the year. 

It's all in our hands. No excuses.

It's almost impossible to drop as many points as we are doing and not expect someone to come out the pack and take over us.

You have to win a league. Draws are okay every now and then but when they become the norm someone will string wins together.

It's not happened yet but another month of the same results and we'll be 2nd.

The gap is literally the same other than what may happen in this Arsenal game. And if you haven't watched, Arsenal really aren't anything to write home about when they aren't playing the likes of Spurs.

Not a time to be panicking yet. We are still going to be three 'matches with dropped points' ahead of Arsenal after this midweek.

I still maintain we don't have to improve a great deal to win this title. A run of 5 wins on the spin or something like that might be enough to break the rest of the contenders. It does feel a bit of a tough ask at the moment though with how we are playing.

Brentford first though. Arsenal got a great win there so we really need to go and match that.
