Just a Warning to anyone who tried to get tickets on-line yesterday
      Dec 05, 2007 11:20:58 am
I was trying to get tickets for the Pompey game for both my family and my mates family I eventually got on-line yesterday morning just as I was confirming payment for four tickets the system crashed with an error message say transaction incomplete, so I managed to get to the payment stage again with different seats and the same thing happened again (you might be able to guess where this is going), with the on-line system down it was on the phone then after about 300 calls I managed to get two adult & two children's tickets (feeling quite pleased with myself for saving the difference between the on-line tickets and the adult child combo available on the phones) I got back on the phone for my mate another couple hours of trying i managed to get four single seats fairly close together.

anyway on checking my emails this morning I have received to payment confirmation for the on-line tickets so a total of £534.00 has been debited from my account.

to be fair although the ticket office appears to be in melt down they have promised it will be sorted and credited within a couple of days however if you think this might have happened to you as well I would make sure you check your accounts and tell anyone else who might be in the same boat. As I am sure no one wants to be chasing hundreds of pounds just before Christmas.

Apologies for not keeping them and offering them on the forum but the money is better off staying in my account this time of year.

      Good post Venison mate.
I'm sure a few people will not realise that they have had more money taken out than they should of.
Especially at this time of year.
The banks will be rubbing there hands at overdrawn accounts, even though it will be of no fault of the customer.

An easy way to check is look at your online history it will have all the seats you tried to purchase with reserved beside them

Good post mate, have to say Ive never had that problem but its good to know if it does it again I will most defo check. The problems is the webiste does not have a good enough server with good enough bandwidth to cope with all the demands. They should have sorted this out sometime ago to be honest.

Word of caution. I've sat there - unpleasant.

Pre match warm up you spend the entire time dodging the away players smacking the ball at you.  You literally can't take your eyes off them.

You can't see anything when kicking towards the Kop.  I hope all the goals are in the Anny Road end for you that's all I can say.

But then I was on row 3.  Row 4 may be an entirely different ball game.
