Its as good as done and will be playing for us next season.

Bit gutted that we didn't get Simao, apparently he was pulled out of a friendly game by their President so he wouldn't get injured as he is moving to a new club, interested parties were us and velencia so I take it now just velencia.

With regards to Pennant if we can sign him and a top striker for not a lot more than Simao or Alves would have cost then I think will prove to be good business. Looks like it will be Kuyt who has to be good, Van Basten doesn't play sh!t players.

Yeah, to be honest i'm not sure about pennant, i thought he was average for Brum but they were a poor poor team, but when he played for Arsenal he did always look pretty good and he looked pretty good when he played for England under 21's.

He is a proper winger tho and will get loads of cross's and hopefully Crouch/Fowler can make the most of them........

Like most aswell tho I was in the Defoe camp as thought he would make a quality signing but i think the Cisse injury f**ed that up as Spurs wanted him before that leg break.

I would welcome Pennant into the liverpool squad!  He's rapid down the wing and has an awesome cross on him.  Tip toes time for Crouch.
