Apparently we're on the verge of signing dirk kuyt for just over 10 mill.

i think he would be ideal as we don't have enough quality depth upfront and he's a proven goalscorer and still young enough to, hopefully, have a long and successful career for us.  Just hope he won't be another Cisse.

you says he's a proven goal scorer but so was cisse AND Kezman and they both found it hard to do it in the prem........

We're not buying him just yet, the echo (which has official correspondents who actually speak to club staff, unlike tabloids) have confirmed that we had a deadline up to last sunday to make a bid, which the club have let pass, but we are supposed to be still keen on Alves, but again we're only prepared to pay 10 mill or less for him, Sevilla rate him at 12 mill.

I'm not sure about this either, its a lot of money and could be a gamble.......... but in Rafa I trust

From what I saw of him at the World Cup he is not good,wouldn't rate him.

What about Trezueget,he is class and PROVEN scorer.

hope we dont get him. i think he will be awaste of money. lets get DEFOE. he will be tha answer to the goals. and he will bring sumthing differnt aswell.

Theres no way on earth Jol's gonna sell Defoe!  He's on fire at the moment.  We won't get defoe.  If Rafa thinks kuyt is a good investment i do too.

Defoe is out of the pecking order at Tottenham, and Berbatov is looking sharp so it's either sh*t or bust for Defoe, and I'd hate to see him playing for the Manc scum
