Whether it’s corruption or not surely Oliver’s involvement with refereeing in the UAE and then refereeing matches involving City is a conflict of interest ??

He was paid by the UAE, who have the same ppl on City’s board , that just doesn’t smell right to me, especially when you look at the decisions Oliver has made when refereeing in matches involving City,

it just looks like he’s in City’s pocket and that’s how most will see it, will the Governing Body do anything about it? Of course not, cos maybe just maybe they’re on the same payroll??

Smells like a Grimsby trawler some would say!!

Very very rare I say / think/ a ref is corrupt, but! I’m watching this one and just wondering is there anything going on? Not decided yet but my 👀 are certainly watching with interest. 🤔

Suppose you could say it's not actually a case of corruption, it's obviously more a case of conflict of interest and in allowing Oliver to Ref Cities games, the possibility of influence exists.

Not going all legal but you would not get on a jury if you had the slightest connection to the accused. COI.

Like my Mrs nicked a tin of peachers..and the judge said.." I'll be fair..7 peachers in the tin, 7 days in jail.."..

so I shouted out..." Your Honour....she nicked a tin of peas as well...and there were over 400 peas in that tin"

      see I'm an honest man..

There's nowhere near 400 peas in one tin....unless it was a very big tin.

      Quote from dunlop liddell shankly
Even when they do, they then get criticised by the "experts" for certain incidents. "We don't want to see red cards given for that" or "if that's a penalty then they'll be 50 penalties a game" etc etc.

Declan Rice getting sent off the other day because he kicked the ball away. It's a bookable offence, so the ref called it and got F***ing slaughtered for it. Maybe because it was the darling of Declan more than anything but the ref gets sh*t for calling the game correctly. And gets even more sh*t for not booking Joao Pedro for the same thing.

As sh*t as refs are in general due to their inconsistency they're also damned if they do and damned if they don't in some cases.

It's unbelievable imo, that you can be booked/sent off for kicking the multiball away, but throwing the ball straight into the back of a player's head is nothing more than a funny old game to some people.

Including sadly, EPL refs. These are the same ones who argue that a kick in the chest is merely an accidental collision, rather than endangering safety/violent conduct and a penalty awarded.

Oh sorry, it's City again isn't it?

Arsenal fans are becoming rhe most entitled bunch of cu*ts

      Refs F**k up

There is no bias , no corruption just sh*t refs

Interesting that no Arsenal fan mentioned the decision by Oliver to call Walker all the way over to him and restart the game when he was out of position for the Arsenal equaliser.

      He’s just a sh*te ref.
