It all sort of brings the Trent dilemma - midfield or defense debate into focus I suppose. The decision has to be made sooner or later. As brilliant as he was in mid V Arsenal, he was skinned alive twice at RB and we almost got nailed both times.

Is the boss asking too much to expect Trent to do great things in the inverted role AND expect him to get back and cover. It's too much to ask.

So lets assume Trent gets moved. Who else gets in. Dom's in. Endo for me is the best holding mid we have. But can't hold off not playing arguable the best midfield player in the Prem, in Trent, just because we paid out big for Macallister and Gravenberch.

we need a defender in Jan, desperately

If we always have that mindset, lads like Quansah and Bradley don't get games.

I'm shocked, absolutely shocked by today's news. Thiago absolutely nowhere near ready?

Thiago is done anyway, Bajcetic on the other hand is our next Trent, how does he come along?

How you working that out? Bacetic won't be playing right back, he's nothing like Trent. He's a very good defensive minded midfielder.

Mo off with a hamstring injury. Playing him next week is a risk. End up with a 6 week hammy strain.

I meant Baj is the next Trent in the sense that he is a young superstar in the making. He was awesome last year already and he was 19?, so imagine what he can do with 21, 22, 23, ..., 29, 30! He is our future but if he does not return within January he'll have no impact on this season since he will need at least another month to get into game shape again.

Could prove a mini blessing if it’s not too serious, it could take 2-3 weeks which we wouldn’t see him anyway, so no loss there, just enough recovery time for it to heal, another week or two of resting and he could come back fresh as a daisy, will all depend on how severe it is, hopefully he came off early enough and it was more precautionary rather than actually damaged ??

He went down on the pitch injured, not just his indication to the bench. Hopefully he's a quick healer and super fit.

Was he writhing in agony or just go to ground knowing he couldn’t continue ? he’s super super fit is our Mo and up until last night never got injured, we all will of course think the the worst until we know otherwise, like I said hopefully its minor and he’ll be fit and raring to go in a few weeks !!

Surely he must come back to the club. He doesn't heal that quickly. We planned the loss of him anyway but still another bleedin' injury.

Mo is out for the next 2 games at least but Egypt play Cape Verde, the table toppers and in form team and Egypt have to win.

Don't want to disrespect the tournament or hope Mo gets back here ASAP. He wants to win the cup, just saying like..

With Trent, Robertson and Dominik almost all back in the picture, I won't play them from the start before Chelsea match.

Robbo needs minutes to get up to speed. Sunday would be perfect for that.

I did not say he should not play but I would introduce him around 60th minute.

Going to have to play Sunday to have any chance of starting against Chelsea. The big issues is Ibou surely he starts Sunday but he needs to play both Chelsea and Arsenal games for me . Would play him for 60 mins Sunday and let Joe play last 30

Robbo might start Sunday, other 2 subs. But klopp may start with young guns and then bring on the seniors 2nd half.

Quanny in again v Norwich. Two games Chelsea and Arsenal more important. Norwich are in a promotion battle. I wouldn't be that surprised to see Bobby Clark start.

      Wouldn't be playing ibou here.

If robbo or tsimikas are able to start I'd go with Gomez and Quansah at the back ... Robbo left and Bradley right. Give Virg and Ibou the day off.

In midfield I'd go with Mac Jones and Clark.

Up top I'd go with Gakpo, Diaz and Doak if he's fit.

On the bench ... plenty of back up just in case.
