Jürgen Klopp has confirmed both Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota are facing spells on the sidelines due to injury.
Alisson and Jota each sustained issues during last weekend’s 1-1 Premier League draw at Manchester City.
Asked for an update on the pair at his pre-LASK press conference today, the manager said both are unavailable for Thursday’s fixture and beyond.
“Both are out,” said Klopp. “With Ali it’s a bit lesser, so we have to see – not day by day, he will not play tomorrow, not on Sunday, probably not the week after. Then it should be kind of OK.
“Diogo will take a little bit longer, we don’t know exactly how long, but it’s a bit more severe. We have to see.”
On whether Alisson’s injury specifically is not as bad as initially feared, Klopp added: “No, but bad enough. Bad enough.”https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/alisson-becker-and-diogo-jota-injury-update
