Chiesa still missing. I seen he was in action for the U21’s the other day. Has he picked up another injury? Or something more going on?

Chiesa is on a 4 year deal so they have to get him fit. For some reason I thought he was on a loan deal but it was a £10m deal plus add-ons from Juventus.

I think it's difficult though, we have 2 RB, 2 LB and 4 CB but maybe you could argue we're an experienced CB short.

But if we had that would they be happy sitting being Virgil and Konate every week? Gomez even hadn't got to play much football this season

Not sure how many players people think a club needs

We have back up in every area and at times you will need to use them

We are missing one player from the starting back 4 now and he is already back doing gym work

If we have any more then we do what most clubs do - use the academy

Yea. If people are questioning the quality then maybe that makes sense but we've 6 forwards for three positions, a host of midfielders and back up in all the defensive areas.

Definitely a senior 6 midfielder would be am area and a central forward but other than that I think the squad is grand.

Yeah I would like to see one more for the middle to prob replace Endo , think they will look at a new left back to Kostas

And the forward line - well depends on what the plans are for Nunez

To test the strength of the squad let's see how the bench looks as it always seems to have 2 or 3 kids on it.

Isn't that always the way if a club has a few injuries?

Or do we not want to see kids come through either?

It happens every season when we get injuries.

Have a thin bench because multiple players are out and we hear "bench is so weak because we're cheap and transfer window was shambles"

Then a couple weeks later players return we have a full squad and the same people say "look at that bench, class everywhere"

As Klopp alluded to a few times, it's very very rare we've been able to go with a full squad, nevermind for longer than a few weeks.....that hasn't looked close to changing under Arne. We're only a 1/3 of the way through the season and we've already suffered 7-8 different injuries.

With that said, having a bench mostly filled with kids is only an issue if the manager has no plans to use them.

Doing remarkably well at this stage of the season, despite injuries, still top of both respective leagues.

Of all the injuries Ibou as I said would hurt us most . The drop off from him to others is huge and the whole right side suffers in his absence . His pace and strength are just huge attributes that can't be matched . Hope he signs the contract ASAP
