That’s clearly not true especially when it comes to Ox who was key for us reaching CL finals

Jota is out as much as any of those, the same level of injuries over their careers at the club but Jota doesn’t get the same level of vitriol hatred pointed at him that others do

Ox was absolutely superb for us from around October 2017 - April 2018 for us. God knows how much more he could have done for us were it not for devastating injury. Loved the guy.

Haven't seen anybody directing "vitriol hatred" at Ox etc. Not on these boards, as far as I know. At any rate, certainly nobody was doing it in this discussion, so seems like an unnecessarily emotive strawman.

Anyway, if you think Ox was as important to us as Jota is now I don't know what to say. Ox was a sometimes handy squad player. Jota is our first choice centre forward.

Ive not been critical of ox the man or the player. I was critical of the decision not to let him go with him being injured most of the time and bring in someone fitter and stronger who could be more. Thats a critism of the club. Same went for thiago and keita. Keita just didnt want to play imo ... happy taking his money home. Bad egg.

I think Jürgen kept them as he knew there would be no funds to replace 3 first team squad members. None of that matters now though.

Jota is our most important attacker with Mo. He is genuine world class ... just need to ease him back in and he will deliver. Gakpo is also coming along nicely. Gakpo Jota Salah is the front 3 that will deliver the most this season.

Yep klopp eased him in slowly and he was brilliant in there. Pretty much knackered everything there is to damage in a knee all in one go, trying to stop a roma break. Was never the same again sadly 😥
