Wouldn't knock Ali..saves us 10 or more with his one on one stuff. Wasn't dire today. Didn't get enough cover from Matip or VVD. City pressure keepers. The 'Octopus' is all arms and others target the keeper.

Complaints: Mid wasn't intense enough in first half, didn't press the ball enough, stood off them.Better in the second half. Has to be the engine room. Didn't fight hard enough to win the ball and do the quick release to Mo or Nunez. Overall mid 6/10.

Alison is a liability some days

Don't be so stupid. That save from Foden kept us in it.

      Hope he's ok

Not a game high in quality or drama from either side. I thought we were poor playing out from the back today and gave away easy possession far too often. Saw good and bad from Alisson today and I think he got lucky on their (2nd) disallowed goal. Tsimikas played well, along with the centre backs.
Still to be convinced with Mac A. Nothing bad today, but equally nothing particularly good. Jones was shocking, and I just don't rate him at this level.
Salah was disappointing and could easily have been subbed. All subs did well I thought.
Chuffed with a point, which we deserved.....Onwards

Got to say Doku was their best attacker, slippery player. Caused us no end of bother from start to finish. Mo helped out but he got the drop 3/4 times. Hard player for any defender to keep out.

Yes playing out from the back was poor..again. Mid in front of them could be more mobile, giving options. They did a masterclass on it today. Players moving, pass and move. Have to improve on that front.

Macca still has a lot to do. I'd go with Endo,Szobo and Graver. Salah just dosen't do the sh*t or bust goal runs and lays it off much more.

Thought we played well considering the mid week international games , with all the travelling , training , Some of the lads looked a bit slower on the ball but a good game !

Ridiculous comment about a world class goalkeeper who makes the odd mistake but 99% of the time can be totally relied on.

Would have taken a draw before the game and I have the same feeling after it. Both teams not clinical enough. I thought we got lucky with their disallowed goal. Onwards and upwards. I hope Ali's injury isn't to serious. Ideally we have a more than adequate replacement.

Wouldn't settle for a point beforehand but it's a good result.
Could have gone either way but city probably just edged it.
Kostas and Trent did well to keep city's wingers quiet and the goal was quality.
Hopefully Jota and Ali aren't out for long.

I did worry with the last min corner and Ali not being able to move that they just needed a shot on target

Shout out for Koatas today. Difficult to defend their quality.OK didn't have KDB hovering but KT did well enough. Was impressed with Ryan Gravenberch when he came on. Strength on the ball is his trade mark. Needs more game time to blend in but he looked strong and confident today.

We should be much more aggressive in defense and attack the ball more. Haaland goes at it full pelt. Same when we win corners, more aggression and intent required.

Caught up on the game just now as had to leave just after their goal.

Thought City were the better side for large chunks to be honest so a point is really good and lets them know we are there.

Not many teams go to City and get something when their keeper has an absolute shocker so that’s something. Thought Matip in particular was absolutely brilliant.

Good point, just about deserved. As  I said at half time, thought we played alright away to a very good side. Got a bit lucky with their disallowed goal, but think our performance overall deserved something.

Don't quite get the criticism Mac is getting. Thought he had a good game. Thought the MF in general gave our defence decent protection through the middle. Only Jones really struggled in there.

Likewise Matip and Kostas had good games. The latter kept Foden very quiet, thought he was very solid and gave him MOTM. (He had a way better game than Trent, albeit Trent's goal was quality.)

Good battling point and should give us belief we can challenge them this season.
